So... You stumble upon idea after idea, but can't seem to manage a good story? Here are some neat strategies.
Strategy 1: Random Number Strategy
1. Write down all ideas that pop into your mind.
~(If they are good or bad ideas, it doesn't matter!!)
2. Think of a random number. This number will be how many sentences you'll have to write. Jot it down, then flip over the paper.
~( a good range of numbers is 1-10.)
3. Write as many sentences as you can, using one of the ideas written down earlier. When you think that you have finished writing, write down the number of sentences. Try to write more than the original number.
4. Compare the number of sentences you have written to the random number you chose. It may be that the number of sentences you wrote is greater than the number you previously thought up. If so, congrats, you have beaten Writers Block!
Strategy 2: The Strategic Route
2. Know the Steps To Writing: {Brainstorm, Draft, Proofread, Edit, Publish}
3. Know how to make a topic sentence {Topic/Idea, Starting Sentence, Sentences that come afterwards}
Strategy 3: Book Cover Strategy (Best option for Fanfics)
1: Look up a book cover picture you like or a drawing of the character
2: Imagine yourself as the character in the place depicted on the cover of an interesting book
3: Start any writing strategy you want, as long as it works for you. You hopefully now will have ideas.
Strategy 4: Story Cubes (If you have them)
1. Get out the package(s)
2. Select dice from package
3. Roll dice
4. Write about what happens to the characters using dice
