We all know that sun, the super ginormous star not only emits light but also some ultraviolet radiations like UVa UVb and UVc which not so surprisingly are very harmful for us. Harmful as in the sense they can cause some teeny tiny problems like premature ageing, skin burns, cataracts and eye damages, immune supressions and sometimes even skin cancer.... Very light issues 😶

So a good question would be why are we not dead then? From what we know we should be either blind by now or walking like zombies or dead.

In the year 1913 two French physicists Charles fabry and Henry Buission discovered ozone and don't ask me how they did that, they just did.

Moving on to what this ozone thing is. It's like John Cena's pants, it's invisible and it protects us (UK what invisible blankets are so overrated we all need a change from that). So this is why we are not like burnt toasts when we go out. If there was no ozone going out would be like Final destination part 9. So what this ozone is made of is just oxygen but in a triple packaging i. e, three oxygen atoms like in a nuclear family.
Don't you think it's friendly, ozone is like a good villain,evil but in a good way if that makes sense. What i am trying to say is that even though ozone is made of same thing that we breathe ozone is harmful for us. In simple terms we cannot breathe in ozone unless you wanna die. But there is no need to worry cause ozone layer is far from our reach, it's in the second layer of our atmosphere.

This ozone thingy is like captain America's vibranium Sheild, dodges every single UV rays. You all messed with the wrong guy here.😎😎

But since we are all humans and we all are best in is messing things up. And that is exactly what we did. We messed up big time. We found that some parts of the layer got so thin it was almost like hole.

Since it Resembled like holes people naturally called them ozone holes. After a long investigation it was found out that the reason for this ozone depletion was from something manmade (see just like I said we sometimes do the dumbest things) Chloroflurocarbons i.e, CFC's.
So why did people make this shit, because they were non toxic, non flammable, cheap and really useful for various purposes like hair spray, fire extinguisher and the cooling agent in air conditioner and refrigerator. Butt buttt buttt what people didn't know is that CFC's were like those toxic Exes who would do everything good to make you willingly jump of a cliff. Like wise this home wrecker CFC's break down our little nuclear family of ozone.

Much of my surprise, first time in humanity people did something right. They created Montreal protocol, which is an international treaty specially designed to protect the ozone layer by phasing out the production of numerous substances that are responsible for ozone depletion.

Thus proven guilty by law CFC's and its minions were kicked out and alternatives like HFC's were used and evidently they saw that John Cena's pants magically started to patch up.

Started to patch up!! Not yet fully done. Which means we still have to spread awareness to people about it otherwise next time going out we would have to lather up so much sunscreen that we end up looking like ghost from grudge movie.

Don't come at me saying that would never happen. Look a year back if someone said you should wear masks everytime you go out, Donald Trump inside everyone would jump out and say 'no I don't need that'. See where we are at now.
But that doesn't mean that you can go out without sunscreen, plz make sure you apply it before stepping out of your home. We donot want to look like stir fried watermelon peel, do we?
