We're going to High School?

Percy's P.O.V

It's finally the end of August. Annabeth and I are pretending Summer isn't ending. I don't want her to go back to California for our senior year of high school, I can't stand being seprated from her again. I sigh and stand up, brushing the sand off my shorts. 

I check the time, 2:48 P.M. Annabeth should be finshing up helping her just claimed half-sister move into their cabin. Well it's not like her new sister has much anyway, seeing as how the girl came here with only the clothes she was wearing and a small backpack.

I take one last look at the beach as I normally do before I leave. For some understandable reason, the water has always made me feel better. That's one of the perks of being the son of Posiedon.

I jog to the Athena cabin, hoping Annabeth is done helping her half sister so we  could hang out and spend some more time before we're seprated for senior  year. I learn againest the cabin, sweating from my light jog and the fact that it was really hot out today. Then I see her walking to her cabin, her attention focused on the book she was reading as she walked. I smirk, wise girl and her books. I decide to sneak up behind her, it's not likely it will scare her. But I decide to do it anyway.

I carefully avoid walking too close in front of her so she won't see me coming. Just as my hand reaches her back, her wrist is on my mine. Before I know it, I'm on the ground. She judo flipped me. Annabeth freakin' judo flipped me. I start laughing hysterically  despite the fact that my back hurts. She smirks and grabs my hand to pull me up. 

"Seaweed Brain" Annabeth giggled as she pulled me up.

"Ow,That hurt!" I complain as I recover from my "flipping".  I rub my back, trying to act like that was nothing and I was tough enough.

"How about I give you a kiss and rub your back as a 'I'm sorry"?" Annabeth asks, knowing I'll accept that deal.

"DEAL!" I practically yell in excitement of recieving a kiss from Annabeth. Annabeth leans forward and softly kisses me on the lips. Although I really wish it was longer, It was still amazing. She turns me around and gently begins to massage my back. I close my eyes, happy for getting a famous massage by Annabeth. Her massages are amazing, even if she rarely gives them. She only really gives me them when she judo flips me or is just in the mood. She scratches my shoulder blades and I sigh in relief, now my shoulders can feel just as amazing as my mid back. Annabeth moves down my back, massaging my whole back.

"Am I doing this right?" She asks. I smile, of course she's doing this right,it's amazing.

"Of course! Keep doing what your doing, it feels really good." I tell her, turning my head to give her a quick kiss.

"Uh guys?" A voice says. I jump, and Annabeth removes her hands from my back. We turn to see Piper                                                          standing there. Annabeth smiles.

"oh, hey Piper. Didn't see you there." She says. I scratch the back of my neck missing the touch of Annabeth's fingers on my back.

"Anyway, guys, so Chiron wants us to go to The BIg House. he has something really important to tel us." Piper says twisting a piece of brown hair around, not in the girly way Aphrodite girls normally do it but in a nervous way. Or an excited way.

"Why?" I ask, suddenly nervous.

Piper stares at her feet, than looks at us.  She seems to be trying to hold back a grin.

"I'm not supposed to tell you yet, but I promise it's good news. Well the part that I know anyway."Piper finally says. Gestering for us to follow her. Annabeth looks at me with an expression like What could that mean?. 

We follow her to the big house.Annabeth and I hold hands as we walk close together. For some reason I feel very nervous about this. It better not be another quest, the last one was not too long ago.A quest is not something we need right now.

Once we enter the big house, I notice Jason,Hazel,Frank Nico, and Will,  are sitting down in fold out chairs. Then I see a sight that makes me grin. There stands Leo Valdez and Calypso, his arm around her shoulder. Annabeth's eyes widen. "Leo!" we shout at the same time. I rush forward and we do a really manly man hug.

Jason laughs. " That's not much of a manly man hug." He says mockingly, in a joking tone.

" Hey, the dude just came back from the dead, I can hug him however I want to!And why didn't anyone tell me Leo is alive sooner" I say back, suddenly offended that no one told me sooner.

"Sorry about that, but we didn't know where you were earlier." Hazel said.

 Annabeth and Leo hug, awkwardly. Calypso and I just stare at each other awkwardly. 

" So.....long time no see." I say to break the silence. She shrugs.
" And Who's fault is that?" She say. Her tone is not identifiable, I can't tell if she's mad or if she understands why I never came back. I suddenly take an interest in my shoes.

"Oh right, sorry." I blurt out, mentally kicking myself from bringing up the topic of the time I left her.

Chiron coughs and motions for us to sit down. We all take our seats.

"All right, so I've made a desision about this upcoming school year. Piper, Jason, Leo, you would be in Juniors in high school so I've decided you will be Juniors in high school at Goode, Percy's school." He nods his head toward me. Piper gasped in shock and grabbed Jason's hand.

"We're going to school?"Jason asked.

"Uh, do we have to? I'd prefer not to since I need to help Calypso adjust"Leo said, axiously tapping his foot. I knew Leo also didn't have the best exprience at school.

Chiron sighed. " Your godly parents want you to go school, and honestly I'm all for it. You guys need a break. As for Calypso... I don't think it's the best idea for her to go to a modern school. She'll need to learn more about the modern world before she can go to Goode."

Calypso took Leo's hand. " It's cool, I can wait to go to high school. I need to know more about it before I can actually go." The two began to whisper

Chiron looked at Hazel and Nico. "Nico, you will be a Freshmen at Goode since you are close enough to the right age. Will shall also join you so you have company. As for Frank, you would be a Sophmore, so it shall be. Hazel is thirteen, not yet old enough for high school but I can make arrangements for you to be a freshmen." he said, looking at all off them.

"I-I don't think I can do it."Nico stammered. Will leaned in and whispered something in Nico's ear. Nico immeditely blushed, well a flush of color. I've never seen him blush before.

"That's it! I'm going!" Nico said, clearly bribed by whatever Will had just told him.

Frank looked a bit relieved to go to high school. Maybe he thought it would make him feel like a normal teenager. Hazel bit her thumb. Okay, so maybe she wasn't as excited as they were.

Chiron looked at me and Annabeth. "As for you, Annabeth, you will join Percy in your Senior year of high school together. YES! I thought, or maybe I said it out loud?

"Well you're clearly excited Seaweed Brain."Annabeth said with a small laugh. Of course I was excited! I could spend Senior year with my Wise Girl!
