Fury. Fear. Pain. It's all you could feel at this point as you saw one of those people slicing into your brother. You thrashed and pushed out a muffled scream as your brother wailed in pain. "What's the matter sweetheart? Not getting enough attention?" he sneered. You felt a wave of despair and anger and lunged at him. Or you tried to at least. He smirked and motioned for his friends and said, "Get her on a table." Two other men grabbed you and dragged you to a steel table. Your heart raced in terror as you fought back with all your strength and screamed with all your might. They fastened the straps around your ankles and wrists, and all you could do was watch as they brought out an array of blades and buckets of some liquid.
A woman walked up to you and smiled as she dragged her hand down your cheek, you wrenched your face away at the contact from her cold hand. She turned her back to you as she grabbed a blade and dipped into the bucket of ink. Facing you, she gave a feral grin as she dragged the blade through your skin leaving the ink in its wake. Over and over she cut into your skin until you were covered in slashes, blood, and ink. These weren't people, they were monsters. You looked over to your family in fear as they had screamed their throats raw for them to stop hurting you, all they could do was cry and sob. Another man grabbed your wrist and harshly held it against the table with your palm facing up as the woman brought over a nearly white-hot brander. You tried to pull your hand away as you felt the heat radiating from inches away. You wanted to scream and cry, but you dared not beg for mercy, if you did they'd hurt your family. Another woman came up to your other side with a matching poker positioned above your palm with a second male assistant holding your wrist. Simultaneously, they pressed it into your palms, you screamed and thrashed even more as you felt the layer after layer of skin and flesh burn away. Finally, they lifted and tears streamed from your eyes. "Please... w-what do you want from us?" you begged in between gasping breaths.
"Shut up!" one of the women shrieked as she swiped a blade at your face, catching itself over cheek and eye, nearly up to your hairline.
You yelped and felt the assistants grab your ankles, as the women returned with differently shaped pokers. They embedded them into the bottoms of your feet and once again you let out a blood-curdling scream. After what felt like grueling hours of torture they dragged you back to the chair and strapped you down again. Your head lolled forward, you were in a daze but hearing your little brother's cries of pain snapped you back to reality. Terror gripped you as you all you could do was watch as they got to work on your family, you yelled and shouted but your throat so raw that when you eventually coughed blood spattered out.
Hours and hours passed as they tortured your family and stole the life from them in front of you. They untied all of you and left with smiles and laughter. You fell to the ground and crawled to your brother he was only twelve... why him? You gathered him in your arms despite the flaring pain, and held him as sobs wracked your body. Setting him down, you fell onto your side and reached across him and behind yourself and held your parents lifeless hands.
***
You didn't know how much time had passed until the police and paramedics found you and rushed you to the hospital. When you had been taken care of you they released you even though you were only 16.
Now here you were, sitting numbly in your living room still not able to believe that your family had been ripped away, that you were alone... You were practically wrapped like a mummy, bandages covered your torso, legs, arms, feet, and hands leaving fingers and toes exposed. You stared ahead but your eyes didn't seem to be looking anywhere, a single tear fell down your cheeks. The doorbell rang, breaking you out of your thoughts. Wiping your cheek gingerly, you stood and answered the door, there stood two tall men in suits. The taller one's eyes flashed with pain and sympathy at the sight of your fresh scar over your eye and bandaged hands. They showed you FBI badges and the shorter one introduced themselves, "Miss, I'm Agent Barton and this is my partner, Agent Coulson. We need to ask you a few questions about what happened. Can we come in?" You nodded solemnly and opened the door for them to walk in.
Closing the door behind them, you lead them to the living room, and they sat on the couch on across you. You hadn't looked them in the eyes even as they asked all sorts of strange questions. The agents just exchanged glances as you hadn't spoken a word, that's when Coulson spoke to you in soft voice. "Kid we can't help you if you won't talk to us, please, we need you to help us." You still didn't speak or look up, but instead held out your hands as if asking for his notepad and pen. Barton perked up as if surprised that you were, in some way, responsive. Coulson immediately placed them in your grasp, and you wrote down simple but essential things on the paper.
3 men 2 women
warehouse empty
strong sulfur smell
knives
black eyes
Why not kill me?
You silently handed it back and stared at your hands as they looked over it. Barton looked at you, "How do you know what sulfur smells like?" he had a suspicious tone. You didn't know much sign language but you did remember the alphabet, you signed s c h o o l. Coulson translated for Barton and he nodded.
"Thank you for your help, uh we'll get back to you if we have any more questions." Coulson said and the Agents let themselves out.
*Sam and Dean POV*
"Barton and Coulson? Seriously Dean?" Sam deadpanned.
"What's wrong with those names?" Dean said defensively.
"Do you seriously think that someone her age isn't gonna know who those names really belong to?" Sam shot back.
Dean rolled his eyes with an exasperated face, "Oh please! Her family was just killed, I doubt she has time to put two and two together."
"Ugh. Let's just go." Sam grumbled walking to the Impala with his brother.
