Unexpected Love

The Dance

** 1 week later **

Aly woke up and couldn't help but jump out of bed with joy. Tonight was the dance! Although she didn't have a date she was still excited to go. She was going with Amber who didn't have a date either. But, Honestly they didn't care, they were going and were gonna have a great time!

She put on a pair of red skinny jeans, a green sweater with Rudolf face on the front of it, her greenish-grayish combat boots, and her black leather jacket. She said bye to her dad, grabbed some toast, and walked to school. She had her license, it's just she kinda still needed a car. Since it was just her and her dad they had some financial troubles, but they got by.

She got to school and went to go see Amber but was interrupted by Zack running into her and jumping up and down like a bunny on a sugar-high. "Aly, Aly, Aly, Guess What, Guess What, Guess What!?!?!?" He practically screamed at the top of his lungs. "WHAT?" She asked annoyed yet slightly curious. "Tiffany said she would go to the dance with me!!" he said still bouncing in his shoes.

"That's right! Derek and Tiffany broke up again 2 days ago" Aly thought to herself. "That's great Z" she said now sharing his excitement, just not quite as much. "I know!!!" He said just as the school bell rang which ment first period. "Later Aly!" He said running to math, which he just so happened to have at the same time as Tiffany.

At the end of the day Aly had A.P. English. She got to class early and as usual there was a crowd of girls surrounding the back desk where Ethan Matthews sat. Aly didn't quite "Hate" him but she was very annoyed by the fact he flirted with every girl to come into his view. He had even tried to flirt with her once but she rejected him, but in a nice way so he wouldn't feel like he had to win her over to feel proud.

Derek was also in the classroom he was sitting at his desk reading and listening to music, but keeping the earbuds hidden by his beanie. Every once in awhile he would glance over to Ethan's direction in disgust. Ethan and Derek used to be friends when they were younger, but about a year after Aly and Derek became enemies they got into some huge arguement and from then on they couldn't even look at eachother. As for what the arguement was about, no one has a clue.

Miss. Goulding walked into the classroom and told everybody to take their seats. Then she walked up to Derek's desk, and since he was so into what ever song that was playing, he had no idea she was there until she took the ear buds out herself. "Not in my class" she said with an evil smirk. "Damn she's good" Aly heard Ethan say from the back of the class.

After school Aly rushed home to get changed. She put on a a green dress with red tights underneath it along with the same combat boots and jacket she wore to school. She put on a little bit of lipstick and eyeliner and headed out the door. Just before she closed the door behind her she heard her dad. "Ahem" he coughed with his arms crossed over his chest and his lips puckered. She rushed over, gave him a kiss, and an enormous hug. "Sorry daddy!" She said with a guilty and sad face. Then she bolted out the door and ran to Amber's house.

"YOU READY!!!???" She yelled up the stairs. She had already walked into Amber's house without knocking cause Amber's parents told her she didn't need to knock any more because she was like family so she was always welcome. "ALMOST" Amber shouted back down the stairs. "WELL HURRY UP" Aly Screamed.

After waiting 10 minutes Aly was about to head upstairs and drag Amber out herself but before she could someone jumped on her. "I'm ready" Amber said almost choking Aly. "I see that" Aly said pretending she was about to faint from lack of oxygen. They both laughed histarically and rushed to the car, but only after Amber unexpectedly screamed "BYE" to her parents, almost knocking Aly's eardrums out of her head.

They drove to the school and walked into the dance with looks of amazement on both of their faces. The first people Aly spotted were Zack and Tiffany. Aly's smile widened seeing how much fun Zack was having. She looked beside him and saw that Tiffany was actually enjoying herself too. "Hopefully it'll last" she thought.

Aly's smile was practically ripped off her face when she saw that one of her bestfriends looked miserable...
