Introducing Leocl

First and foremost, Leocl is both a person and place. The person is the place, the place is the person. That is to say, Leocl created the land, oceans, forests, cavern systems and more in this world with his own self.

Leocl has long since passed on from the material, and become one with his creation. Let's begin with Leocl the person. Pronounced Lee-oak. Leocl is not human, although many would probably write and portray him as human-like as the world moved on. I've decided to call him and his children Titans, Leocl being known as the Grand Titan. The major differences of a Titan from any of the other races in the world remain widely unknown, however it is speculated that their bodies are often made of elements of the land and sea but none of the living creatures on it.

The Titan was born out of the eroded material of the Starway and Wisperfall. No real amount of time can be extrapolated from this information, nothing like his existence came before, and all achievements after make no comparison to his own creation. Perhaps his children (created in a similar fashion) would be able to add more information to this in the future but as of right now nearly none have ever had a conversation with one of them.

With the exception of the Wisperfall and Starway, all of Leocl was created by the Grand Titan. His children, Marina of the Waves, Samitr, and The Traveler would eventually aid in the further creation of lands and sea. As this is a simple introduction to Leocl, the creation, story, and lore of individual areas of interest will be left for future entries. Here we will find a simple overview of Leocls journey and eventual rest.

When he began, he created the Wicked Spires and Mangled Plains, first as experiments of his power and later as deterrents for anybody seeking the Wisperfall and Starway. From there he would further experiment with grinding hisself into fine grains, controlling liquids, and creating flows for both mystical powers as well as waterways. He continued to learn about managing heat (ozone) creating flowing rock (magma). As he continued to learn about himself and his own skill the land would continue to grow further outward in all directions from the Wisperfall, both by his own hands, molding it together like clay or allowing it to grow more naturally allowing the effects of flowing rock to meet water and continue forming more lands.

Eventually Leocl would turn his gaze elsewhere, underneath what he had built. Realizing that he can add and take away from the structure above he would create deep pits of earthen land underneath, adding an entire world to the one above. Cave systems formed in and out of these lands, later to be known as the Earli-lands. Leocl would work the caverns up and out onto the main land, sometimes hollowing out mountains to aid in his journey back to the surface. This work continued for some time.

Up to this next point this timeframe for Leocl would be called The Shaping. Upon his journey to surface he would begin to ponder something, a thirst for something more. A hunger for change. But he didn't simply want to change it himself, so he pondered. If he could make these lands himself, perhaps he could encourage them to grow and change on their own. This, would be the age of Bonding.

Where the power to create these things came from himself, the lands were him. They had ever bit of vibrancy and life as he did. All he needed was to let go of his own control over it and allow it to have its own control. So, he did just that. Overtime, plants and minerals would grow of their own accord, reflection the amount of skill and time that went into the lands creation. The more primitive Leocl's skill at the time of creation, the wilder, more dangerous the lands would be.

Leocl's remaining life would continue slowly from this point in time, no longer feeling the need to create and instead enjoying the exploration of his creation. That's when he would stumble upon Marina, washed up on the shore of one beach, unexplained. This is when he would begin to notice that the Wisperfall had eroded away still yet more material from the Starway, leaving something that wasn't Leocl to the elements. This was when Leocl would finally enter the last span of his life, Wispering.

Shaping draws power from within oneself to create and influence the elements around them. Bonding encourages the powers that already exist to influence the world before themselves. Wispering would call something greater. Something from beyond. Good or bad, Wispering would pull upon the denizens of other planes, worlds and universes and their powers to empower and create new resources, life, and objects. Sometimes it was a simple transfer from one place to another. Others it would be the seed of something new, a growth that could take centuries.

Unknown to Leocl, this is how Marina came to his world. And it would be her influence that would inspire his imagination and encourage him to continue pulling other sources of life to his. And in his final breaths he would pass on these gifts to six bodies he shaped from the Starway, and the land that was Leocl. These final acts would have far reaching consequences, continuing all the way through until the present days of the Quartz Families stories.

This is Leocl, the Grand Titan that is both a person and a place.
