CHANCES (L.T.)

~~~~THIRTY SIX~~~

The girls started talking to Austin and asking him stuff it was like Austin did not have a moment to himself. The boys stood away in a corner all shy. They always got like that when they saw someone new but soon enough they would warm up to you. I went upstairs to put our bags in the room. When I went downstairs the boys were dragging Austin up to their room to play something. 

"Boys let him go he just came " mom said. 

"No it is fine I am used to this the girls always did this" He said before the boys dragged him away.

It was a relief that he at least spoke to them and interacted with them. But what did he mean the girls always did this?

Soon enough it was only me and mom while the girls went of to do something. 

"I am guessing things haven't really changed between the two of you" she said. 

"Yeah" I said scratching the back of my neck. 

"It is just that he is really complex and it takes time" I said. 

My mom nodded understandingly. 

"He looks a lot like her" she said. 

I nodded with a smile on my face. "He behaves like her as well. He is so mature and not to mention the photography" I said the last with a chuckle. 

My mom just smiled. 

"Lottie go call the boys and Austin down for lunch" Mom called from the kitchen. 

"Okay" Lottie said and went upstairs to go get them. 

Not even a moment later I heard Lottie yell "Boys stop it now!"

I immediately went upstairs followed by fizzy. 

When I went upstairs and I bursted out laughing. There Austin was standing and Earnest was pulling Austin to one side saying "Austin play football with me!" but before Austin could say anything Doris pulled his other hand and said "No Austin play nerf with me!" and the argument between the two went on like that and Austin was being pulled from one side to another without having a chance to say anything. 

When I was laughing Austin glared at me but that just made it funnier. But fizzy came from behind me and said "If the both of you don't leave Austin now no desert" her voice was stern. 

That moment both the boys left him. 

"Say sorry to him now" Fizzy said. 

"We are sorry" the both of them said in unison and looked down. 

"No no it is okay!" he says to fizzy who just scolded the boys. 

"How about we eat lunch and in the afternoon we play nerf and football huh?" Austin asks bending down to the boys level.

Both their eyes widen not expecting him to say that and shake their heads with enthusiasm. 

"Okay all of you get downstairs and eat lunch" Lottie says. 

With that both Doris and Earnest grab Austin's hands and pulls him out the door to eat food. Austin follows them stumbling a bit because they were pulling him. 

After lunch the boys did not forget the drag Austin out again to play. 

"Where is Austin?" Phoebe asks. 

"The boys dragged him out to play something" my mom said. 

She nodded to that. 

After that I did not see Austin the whole afternoon.
