"You alright? You haven't said anything for a while. I did say in a friend way, right?" Leon asked with a tone of concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but you must know that friendship is earned. It will take a while for you to actually gain my trust again," she explained. Leon smiled a bit, it wasn't forced... he was smiling for whatever reason he had. He nodded and said he'd try his best. Lunar just decided to go back to her omelette. Leon kept trying to start up a conversation, but it was obvious that he didn't know what to talk about. It seemed that he didn't learn all that much from Tao. Tao seemed to learn a lot from Leon though. Tao's deduction skills started to improve, even though he went into the strange trance of sleep talking or whatever else it could be described as.
Lunar was starting to make a second omelette by the time Tao walked in. He looked like he hadn't had much sleep either, and he almost fell asleep twice on his way to the kitchen. By the time he was there the conversation was still halted. The only sound anyone could hear was the sound of an omelette cooking.
"We should try finding a way to escape," Tao yawned. Leon and Lunar looked at him, surprised.
"Not today, I don't think me or you got enough sleep last night to do that," Lunar said.
"However, it would be best. The note I found yesterday stated that they would update us again today. Maybe we should look for another note somewhere, then we can think about escaping." Leon said. He went to go search while Lunar tried to finish cooking the omelette and Tao tried to find his energy. Leon eventually found a note, without anybody else's help. He started to read it.
Congratulations. By the time you're reading this, you will have survived the night. Now for the update. As you have probably guessed, it's not good. There is a bomb within the building, by 11:00 AM it will go off. It's big enough to blow up the school. If you survive, then you have finished the little story that played out here. Until we meet again.
Leon couldn't do anything but stare at the small piece of paper. The hand writing was the same, but the note was quite different than the previous one. He also wondered what "Until we meet again" meant. Maybe he was overthinking it, somebody said that to Leon as a farewell and he never saw them again.
"You could at least say you found it Leon!" Lunar yelled from across the room. Now that has woken everyone up. Leon sighed and handed the note to Lunar, who seemed kind of annoyed.
"To think I can understand everything when I've barely gotten any sleep is quite bold of you," She said, but she still took the note and read it. Leon knew she was being sarcastic. She was definitely one of the smartest people in the group when it came to crimes. Leon thought it was because she listened in history classes about all the crimes people in the past committed. It was partially that, but Lunar also read and watched detective or crime stories.
"Oh... It seems we may need to escape today, Tao," Lunar murmured, with a tone that hinted that she was scared. Tao didn't react all that much, he must still be tired. Leon shook Tao lightly, trying to wake him up from his mindless state. Tao didn't respond, he just leaned against Leon for support and fell asleep.
Lunar tried to hold back a laugh, but just started to laugh hysterically. Leon asked her what was so funny, but Lunar kept laughing.
"It's just how surprised you looked! Your face was priceless!" Lunar kept on laughing and laughing. Leon, however, was not impressed. What was his reaction supposed to be when a boy like Tao fell asleep leaned against him? He couldn't move anywhere, otherwise Tao would fall and get injured.
"Can you be quiet Lunar? I'm trying to get some more rest..." Marley mumbled, Zac was behind him, glaring at the three.
"Do you want something to eat? It'll get your stamina up for today," Lunar questioned Tao and Marley. Tao was half awake at this point, so he reluctantly headed to the small dining table in the dorm.
