The Mountain

Inside my head is a mountain

It’s vast, and black, but not made of stone

It stands in my road; it’s a block in my way

I can’t get over it, and I can’t go around

It’s been there a long time

And it’s immovable, believe me, I know

But I will not let it defeat me

I will find a way, and I will tear it down

And turn this unconquerable stumbling block

Into my stepping stone.
