Normani POV
So as of right now my mom wants me to have lunch with her but I can't because my babysitter is out sick so I have to watch my daughter riley which I don't mind but what I really want to tell my mom is to reschedule the lunch but knowing my mom she won't take no for an answer.
Andrea:normani come on let's go to lunch
Normani:I'm sorry I can't
Andrea:and why not where dinah
Normani:dinah is in miami
Andrea:Miami doing what
Normani:she has her own business mom she's back and forth
Andrea:ok then let me take a walk with my grand daughter
Normani:walk where I have to go get her stroller
Andrea shakes her head and says no normani not literally walk as in take her along normani says oh well you should have said that then hold up I gotta take this.
Andrea:ok
(Phone conversation)
Normani:hello
Dinah:normani why are you not answering your phone
Dinah:you know I will book a flight back to California
Normani:I was talking to my mom
Normani:she wants me to go to lunch with her
Dinah:oh ok just answer your phone the next time I call
Normani:ok imma need you to calm down I'm fine
Normani:now I have t get myself and riley ready so we can leave
Dinah:normani just answer your phone the next time I call
Normani:dinah ok I will how many times are you going to tell me that
Dinah:how's my baby doing
Normani:riley is fine
Dinah:ok I gotta go enjoy your lunch I will check up on you later
Normani:ok
(End of phone call)
Normani goes back to her mother putting her phone back in her pocket and says so where is this girlfriend you speak of and andrea says we are here actually.
Normani:oh this is a nice house
Riley:(starts to cry looking around for dinah)
Normani:you live here by yourself
Jayla:yeah I do (looks at riley) she is such a cute baby
Normani:thank you
Jayla:do you mind if I hold her
As soon as normani gives riley to jayla riley instantly stops crying.
Normani:wow really riley I swear she hates me
Jayla:(rocks riley to sleep) she doesn't hate you
Normani:yeah she does she cries all times of the night only when dinah there she doesn't fuss
Jayla:(gives a sleeping riley back to normani) if you don't mind me asking who's dinah and when will she be back
Normani:she's a friend who has been helping me out a lot before I got back on my feet she helps me out with riley too
