Unexpected Love

Chapter 20

Ann-Kathrin's P. O. V.

Mario and I just got back from having drinks with his family. We're cuddled up on the couch when he kisses the top of my head, "Did you like them?"

I smile, "I love them. "

I bite my lip then say, "Can I ask you a question?"

Mario hums in response.

I look up at him, "Why didn't you tell your parents you cheated on me? You told them everything that happened to me. But nothing that you did. "

Mario grabs my face between my hands, "Awh, honey. I am so sorry. I should've asked you if you were okay with me telling everyone. I'm such an idiot. "

I set my hand on his, "I don't care that you told them. I just wish you told them everything. "

Mario smiles and kisses my nose lightly, "I did tell them. Right after you found me. I went to my parents and talked to them. Asked for advice. "

I hug him, "I'm sorry. I didn't know. "

Mario pulls away and kisses me, "It's fine, babe. I love you and I'm really tired. How does bed sound?"

I yawn, "It sounds great. "

We go get ready for bed then go to bed.

I wake up and see a note laying on Mario's pillow. It says, "Good morning, love. I went out to buy some things for the trip. I love you"

I smile and set the note down, walking into the kitchen. I grab a frying pan and start making pancakes and bacon.

I'm finishing up cooking when Mario walks in, "Hey babe "

I smile, "Hey. I made breakfast. "

I put the food on two plates and set them on the table. Mario and I sit down.

I look at Mario, "So, what did you get for the trip?"

Mario grins, "It's a secret. "

I raise my brows, "Oh! Really?"

Mario smirks, "Yes. "

I laugh, "Okay, well, anyway, what time is our flight tomorrow?"

Mario starts eating, "We leave at 6 am"

I nod, "I'm gonna go over to my families house today, okay? You're welcome to come if you want. "

Mario takes a bite of bacon, "I was actually going to see my family. "

I laugh, "Oh okay! So we can spend tonight with our families then leave tomorrow!"

Mario smiles, "That sounds great. Tell your family I said hi. "

I nod, "Of course. Tell yours I said hi. "

I look at the time, "I should get ready so I can go over there. I'm meeting with the caterer and the florist today. You're fine with pasta and salad for dinner at the reception, right?"

Mario grins, "Pasta. You know me so well. "

I laugh and stand up, washing my plate, "I know I do. "

I go over to him and run my hands down his chest, kissing his cheek, "I'm going to go shower. You'll still be here when I'm out?"

Mario turns his head and kisses me, "Yeah I will. "

I stand up and smile, "Great. "

I go shower and dress in a t-shirt dress and tights. I grab my back and walk out to Mario.

I wrap my arms around him and kiss him, "I love you. I'll see you tonight. "

Mario grins and kisses me again, "I love you. "

I walk into my parents house, seeing my mom and sister. I laugh,"Did the boys leave when they knew we would talk wedding stuff?"

My mom hands me a glass of wine, "Of course they did. "

I laugh and sit down, grabbing a plate of my moms amazing spaghetti.

I take a bite, "So I met Mario's family last night. "

Anna raises her brows, "Oh yeah? How was that?"

I laugh, "It was really nice, actually. I found out that his brother is in love with me. He has pictures of me hanging on his wall. "

My mom laughs, "Oh my goodness. I bet it's weird for him to actually meet you in person. "

I nod, "He was really nervous that Mario told me. I told him it was cute and he said 'oh great. The woman I'm in love with thinks I'm cute'."

My mom and sister laugh, "That's really adorable. "

I smile, "I know. They're a really great family though. I'm really excited to marry into it. "

Anna smirks, "I bet you're excited for your trip tomorrow!"

I sip my wine, "You have no idea. It's going to be great. "

My mom smiles, "Ann, I'm so happy for you. "

I smile back, "Thanks mom. That means a lot. "

I pour myself some more wine, "Alright, let's start talking wedding stuff!"
