the southern
water tribe,
south pole.

"YAY! AANG'S BACK!" THE CHILDREN OF THE SOUTHERN WATER TRIBE cheered deafeningly, rushing forwards to hug him. Katara and Aang pushed forwards with a sombre expression. The rest of the tribe huddled together with an even graver look about them. Nobody spoke for quite some time, the tension between them far too thick. Everybody knew what had occured. Somebody had signaled to the Fire Nation. And now, they were all in an inexplicable danger. Of course, they knew who was at fault here. But nobody wanted to admit it. All except one, that is.

"I knew it! You signaled the Fire Navy with that flare! You're leading them straight to us, aren't you?" Sokka accused, marching forwards with inculpating eyes.

"Aang didn't do anything. It was an accident," Katara defended.

"Yeah. We were on the ship and there was this booby trap and well..." Aang trailed off, scratching his hairless head. "...we boobied right into it."
