Room Renovate

KAZUE'S POV

I woke up to the sound of a thunderstorm "Rain?", I forgot to unpack yesterday because instead of taking a short nap I ended up sleeping the whole day. I ran out of my room to look outside.

Bummer

I thought to myself, its raining cats and dogs out there. Laughters and chit chats echoed through the hallways. "Noisy" I scoffed going back to my room, "Ill just keep myself busy unpacking and rebuilding then" the room looked too boring when I saw it, faded wallpapers, plain curtains wooden floor. I was a bit of a picky kind of girl which I got from my mom and this room is a no no for me. I stacked up my bags into one corner to look neat, I have decided to buy some stuff for the room. My parents left me a huge amount of money, but despite all of that I try to be reasonable with everything that I buy in case I get low on budget

I changed into waterproof clothes and got my umbrella, no one is in the living room nor the kitchen

I guess this happens

I text dad

[Kazue]

: Im going shopping for my room, Ill be out for two hours or so

[Dad]

: Text me if something happens

[Kazue]

: Got it

[Dad]

: On second thought call me instead, if ever I don't pick up call your uncle Toshi

[Kazue]

: Dad chill I'm sixteen now its ok

[Dad]

: I know but I'm just making sure. Anyways take care

I arrived at the houseware store, I thought of what theme should I do with the room.

I think I'm going plain with this

I searched for light gray paint, took a bucket of it, two brushes, white LED lights for the corners of my room, picture frames, and also furniture like a lamp, a glass table, big enough for me to use, white rectangle carpet and other stuff. I also got a scraper and wood stain for the floorings since I didn't want to spend money on tiles again like what I did with my room at home, I still remember how Dad almost took all my money cause of it.

Since I couldn't possibly carry these all at once I decide to come back here after renovating the room a bit, I stood by the counter and waited. Then I suddenly feel a sting on my chest"Ma'am are you ok?" The cashier asks "I-Im fine I'll just sit down for a bit" this happens quite often now. I took deep breaths, slowly letting it all go til the pain goes away. "Kazue?"

Great who's this now?

I turned around to see a familiar face "Todoroki-kun hey" I greeted, "Hey" he looks at all the stuff I'm about to bring home "Im renovating my room"
"Oh is that so" I actually like how Todoroki knows how to keep distance and how he's quiet. "How about you why are you here?" I asked trying not to make things awkward "Mom asked me to buy her a new vase so I thought I could get her one"
"Wow Todoroki kun that's so thoughtful of you, your mom would be so happy, so you heading there right now?"
"No I'm about to go home actually, I went to see her" I nodded
"Ma'am your things are ready that would be 160 dollars" The cashier says I let her scan my credit card "Thank you for shopping at houseware store come back soon"
"Thanks, oh Todoroki wanna go back together then?"
"Sure I'll carry some of the stuff for you"
"Oh thanks what a gentleman"
I called out a cab, I've been out for an hour

Earlier than I expected

I thanked Todoroki for the help. "Let's start renovating this shit place" I tell myself.

Its been four hours, I never left my room I just finished painting my walls, scraping the wooden floor to make it smooth then applied wood stain to make it darker. Phase 1 complete
Someone knocks on my door I opened it to see Uraraka "Hey Kazue san lunch is ready"

You guys cook for everyone here?!
Huh I only cook for myself

"O-oh uhm yeah about that I think I'll pass I have to finish somethings" I smile apologetically "Its ok we'll just save some for you to eat"
"Thanks" she smiles then walks away. The room smelled horrible from paint and wood stains so I decide to go back to the houseware

"Kazue san where are you going"

Can you just mind your own business?!

"The houseware store I just need to get some stuff" I answer Midoriya
"Do you need any assistance?"
"Its ok class rep. You guys enjoy your meal" I smile about to go
"Take care!"
"Thanks vice"
Again I left the building, I bought a build it yourself white closet, a book shelf, matching gray pillow cases, sheets and a comforter. Since the bed in my room is already white It'd be a perfect fit. Remember when I told you that I should be reasonable with everything I buy? I forgot about it when I saw some pillows with different shapes and designs

I have to get them!

And so I did, I didn't even debate with myself. I took three square, two circles and three rectangles all with the same print I also made sure it would match up with the room color. I came back an hour and a half later, the living room and kitchen are empty.

Aaah Finally peace

Thank goodness I bought the fast drying paint and stain. I made the final touches I set up my LED lights, laid my sheets on the bed and built the closet. It was simple but perfect. I finally felt happy with the outcome, the bed became softer, to the point I drifted off to sleep tired
