CH.16

Chaeyoung sits down and watches the drops in the windowpane as she puts her elbow on the table, leaning her chin into the palm of her hand. The once happy tension had turned into a gloomy atmosphere.

Mina looks at the frowning girl as she sets the plates with strawberry pancakes in the wooden table. She takes a seat as she pushes the other plate towards the composer, tapping her arm. Startled by the touch, Chaeyoung retreats her arm and looks at Mina with fear in her tired brown eyes but when she noticed it was just the love of her life, she calms down.

"Please, eat, " Mina pleads as she uses her famous eyes that maybe or maybe not push Chaeyoung to actually eat and not starve. Chaeyoung looks between the blonde-head girl and the set of strawberry pancakes before picking up a knife, cut a small part of the soft, hot, and chewy pancake, looking at it before slowly bringing up to her mouth.

The actress couldn't help but smile as she starts to eat too. It was a peaceful atmosphere but Mina knew Chaeyoung was crushed deep inside. "Do you want me to invite our friends?" Mina asks looking at the latter as she slices a small amount of pancake, eating it.

Chaeyoung genuinely smiles, showing her pearl white teeth, the smile reaching up to her eye, radiating happiness. Mina couldn't help but chuckle as she finds it adorable.

"I'll wash these, " Chaeyoung says in a little voice when she notices Mina picking her now empty plate. The actress looks at her, silently asking her through the eyes, "I've got it under control babe, give them a ring and I will handle these, " The composer says a little louder this time, sending Mina a small smile.

Mina smiles for an umpteenth time, stealing a kiss from her fianceé as she leaves the room to pick her phone up and give their friends a call. She walks in their room, picking up her phone as she walks back down the stairs, dialing a number, not wanting to leave the other girl alone.

She sits in the comfy red sofa, pulling her legs up as she wraps a hand on them as the other holds the phone in her ear. "Hey, unnie, are you free?" Mina asks on the phone as she glances at the kitchen where her fianceé is, probably overthinking while washing the dishes.

"Really? Okay, can we maybe hang out here? Bring Chaeyoung's friends too if they aren't busy, " Mina says as she notices Chaeyoung's figure walking towards her way, she sets her feet down, spreading her legs a little as she pats the space in between them. Chaeyoung got the hint as she did what the latter implied, laying in between her legs as she leans into Mina's chest, listening to the calm beating of the latter's heart.

Mina wraps an arm around the latter carefully, afraid to touch the bruises in her stomach as she kisses Chaeyoung's head. "Is she alright? I don't know but she's good, " Mina says as she looks down at the latter wrapped in her embrace.

"Okay, bye unnie, " Mina had finally ended the call, looking down at the latter that's currently sleeping, looking peaceful. Her lip wasn't bleeding anymore but it has a cut on it. Mina shifts a little bit, careful not to wake the sleeping cub in her arms as she tries to make herself comfortable. Planting one last kiss in Chaeyoung's head, she decides to close her eyes and listen to the raindrops, feeling herself drift away into sleepiness.

"HEY!" Startled, Chaeyoung punched Mina's side a little hard causing the actress to let out a groan. The composer mumbled an apology as she pecks Mina's lips.

Mina chuckles, pulling Chaeyoung closer to her as they kiss quickly, the actress stands up to open the door, revealing some of their friends. "Hey, how long have you guys been standing here? " Mina asks as she lets them enter.

Dahyun answers, "I think for about 20 minutes but it's okay, " She removes her shoes, revealing her white socks. She greets Chaeyoung sitting on the end of the couch looking nervous. The rest of the girls greeted them both. "Do you guys want some hot chocolate? " The actress asks as she notices the guests shivering with their thick furry coats on.

She turns the AC off, lighting up the fireplace as she makes her way towards the kitchen to make 9 cups of hot chocolate. While Mina's in the kitchen, the other girls went in playing XBOX Station as some of them are talking while they watch Chaeyoung and Dahyun play.

"Are you okay, Chaeyoung? You've been unusually quiet, " Jihyo unnie asks the quiet girl in the corner, furiously tapping the buttons of the controller. Chaeyoung looks at them with a small smile, mumbling a reply as she continues to play with Dahyun, ignoring the concerned looks from the olders. 

Mina comes back carrying a tray of hot chocolates, her smiling expression turns into a curious one as soon as she placed down the tray, looking at the others with that concern look in their eyes. Finally, it clicked Mina, nodding her head as she walks towards Chaeyoung's way. When the latter notices Mina, she smiles standing up as she let Mina sit down before sitting down on her lap, leaning her head once again, listening to Mina's heartbeat as she plays.

Mina wraps an arm around Chaeyoung's waist carefully, the hot chocolate in the other hand. The others share looks like Chaeyoung completely changed when she saw Mina but she was cranky when Mina didn't show up.

"So, care to explain what's happening?" Seulgi finally breaks, after minutes of hesitation but she looked scared when she made eye contact with Irene, the latter was sending daggers her way.

Mina and Chaeyoung looks at each other when Chaeyoung nods, cuddling a little closer with Mina as the actress places her cup down the center table made with transparent glass. "I'll tell you later, for now, let us enjoy the peaceful atmosphere with our hot chocolates, " Mina says as she kisses Chaeyoung's head.

The others nod, making a toast. They all talk about other matters, ignoring the continuous pouring of the rain as they get embraced by the warmth of the fireplace with hot chocolate in their hands.

Longer chapter, wow, anyway, for the following chapters ( till the 20th ) I will be writing in Third Person's POV, anyway, hope you all love this! ฅ'ω'ฅ
