The Evil and The Avenger [HIATUS]

Chapter 1

"Your Highness, is everything ok?" One of the servants ask the current queen that's looking out the window to look at the view of the beautiful kingdom she ruled.

"Your Highness?" Called the servant again. "Oh! Ummm... sorry. What did you say?" Ask the queen to her personal servant. "Queen Evelyn are you..." Before her servant could finish her sentence, there's a knock on the door to the throne room. The guards that are at in the room opened the door, and it revealed the lieutenant. "Good morning Your Highness." Greet the lieutenant to the young queen. "Good morning lieutenant, is there any reports from your people about the Center Tree?" Ask Evelyn. "Yes. Two of my people found a shield with an unknown symbol on it." Answer the lieutenant. "Do you have the shield?" "Of course Your Highness." Answered the lieutenant again. He brings out the shield and show it to the queen. "Here." Said the lieutenant while giving the shield to the queen. The Queen's eyes widened.

Queen Evelyn's POV

My eyes widened. I've seen this symbol before. 'this is the Baltian kingdom's symbol. Mother and father told me about this a long time ago.' I thought. "Your Highness, is there something wrong?" The lieutenant ask me. I didn't answer the question immediately, because I don't want anyone to know about what the Baltians had done to my kingdom. "Lieutenant, come with me." I asked. The lieutenant just nodded in agreement.

We came to the basement to discuss the symbol. "What is it queen Evelyn?" "Please lieutenant, don't tell this to anyone." I was afraid the lieutenant would tell this to his people. "Of course I won't." "Ok. You know the kingdom across the river?" I asked in a serious tone. "Yes. Yes I do. Is there something wrong?" Now the lieutenant is also getting serious. "This is the Baltian symbol. But what are they doing in our kingdom?" "That kingdom is our enemy Your Highness, they could do anything in our kingdom." The lieutenant has a point, but we can't just accused the Baltian to do something bad to my kingdom. "We'll discuss this later lieutenant. For now, just send some of your people to look out the border and on the riverside." I told the lieutenant in my usual tone. "Of course." After that we came back to the throne room.

Princess Liana's POV

I woke up to the sound of knocking on my bedroom door. "Coming!" I shouted. I got up and open the door, and there is my personal servant. "Good morning Your Highness" Mrs. Marie greeted me in her usual sweet tone. "Good morning Mrs Marie" I greeted back politely while I was still in my night gown. "Queen Evelyn is waiting for you in the dining room for breakfast." She told me while I was fixing my hair. "Alright, I'll be down stairs in 10 minutes. Oh and Mrs Marie, I want you to eat breakfast with me and my sister as well" "What? I can't do that Your Highness, it's___" "Please Mrs Marie" I cut her off. She eventually agreed and we went down stairs.

As soon as me and Mrs Marie came in the dining room everyone in the the room greeted us, except my sister. She just look at us while giving us that cold look. Sometimes, I wonder, does my sister really is my sister? Because me and my sister is very different. My sister is more calm and cold, and me? I'm very talkative and energetic. So, it's kinda hard to believe that we are sister.

I sit next to my sister and Mrs Marie sits in front of me. As soon as the food is on the table, everyone started to eat. When I was still eating, my sister already finished her meal, and she made a toast. "May I have your attention please" my sister ask everyone in the room. I looked at her and I know what's she's gonna say. "Thank you. Since all of us is treated differently, my sister and I wanted to make a new tradition." Everyone started to give Evelyn and me a questioning look. I just chuckled and give them a signal to just wait and listen. "From now on, every weekend, all of us, all the staff, the gardeners, the guards, and everyone in this palace, will have breakfast and dinner together with me and my sister" after my sister finished the 'speech' everyone's face lit up like a candle that's giving it's light to the whole room.
