P.O.V. [Name]
I smiled as I looked at the female beside me. I felt closer to her now than ever before. "So what are you doing today?" I asked as I looked at her.
"Jaune wanted me to help him with some of his aura training. So I plan on doing that in a bit," She said as she looked at me and I nodded with a smile.
"At least he's trying to get stronger that's more than can be said for some people. I know some people that would go their entire life without trying to improve themselves," I said as I looked at the female beside me. She nodded hearing this and we continued to walk down the halls together my hand intertwined with his. I continued to enjoy her company for several minutes. She then sighed and looked at me.
"I should really get going," She said as she looked at me. I nodded hearing this and she leaned up to kiss my cheek before she began to walk away. I smiled as she did and watched as she slowly walked off before. I smiled and began to walk to the library. I was hoping that I could find a book on the Shadowlord or anything else that might have been related to him. I wasn't stupid enough to hope a book would tell me how to defeat him but just hoping that there was something there to at least help me a bit.
When I arrived I noticed that the library was oddly empty and I heard what sounded like chains being dragged against the ground, and before long I saw the source of the sound. A male with several battle scars covering his face, arms, and legs looking at me. He had what appeared to be barbed blades with long chains that were attached to it at the base. "It's about time you showed up," He said as he looked at me.
I didn't know who he was but if he was speaking like that then it was clear that he was working for the Shadowlord. I grabbed my weapons and prepared myself as I looked at the male in front of me. He smiled seeing this and threw a blade forward which I blocked. As he did he dashed forward and my eyes widened with surprise as I jumped back. He was incredibly fast, a lot faster than I was expecting at least.
The male then tried to stab down and his blade impaled the floor in front of him. He seemed to have trouble pulling it out suggesting that once it was implanted into something it was much harder to pull out than it was to stab it in. The male then released his blade and ran forward building up momentum before pulling on the chain and pulling the plank out of the floor and then smashing it into my head.
Was thrown back a bit feeling this and a bit disoriented as well. He was a lot stronger than I was expecting so I grabbed some of the dust crystals that I kept on me in case of emergencies and turned throwing them at the male hoping that it would be enough to at least distract him so that I could attack him or at the very least run away. However, he blocked them with his chains fairly easily. The male had a rather stoic and almost bored look on his face.
I then reached behind me to grab the few dust crystals I had left and began to throw them at the male in front of me. As I did he dashed towards me moving out of the way as he did. As he got closer I once again readied my weapon preparing to attack him with it. However, as our weapons clashed he went low and then lifted himself up tossing me into the air as he did. I had no time to right myself as he once again charged towards me to attack.
I used my weapon to block the attack as he did and I was once again sent back into the air only for him to turn and attack me from another side. I was once again forced to block his attack seeing this and we continued this several times. Him attacking me with his incredible speed and agility, and me blocking it and being pushed into the air from his attack. When I was finally able to land the male jumped off a wall and slammed his elbow in my face.
This was pain and for a moment I thought my jaw was going to dislocate from the force of the impact. The male then turned and kicked my side sending me away from him. As I was sent through the air I tried to turn to look at the male only to see that he had disappeared from the spot that he had been standing just moments ago. I then felt another sharp pain in the center of my back and I could tell from how large the impact was that this was clearly a kick and not punch.
The male then rushed forward as I tried to right myself once again and stabbed me in the shoulder with the blades that were attached to his chains. I screamed out in pain feeling this and tried to punch him. As I did I saw him jump back and a large gust of wind got kicked up because of my punch. However, as he jumped he pulled on his chains rather skillfully launching me up into her air. As soon as my feet were off the ground he began to whip me around the room.
First, it was into the ceiling, and then into one of the several shelves that were nearby, and then into the ground. When I was on the ground I thought I was safe only to feel the blade tug on me once again and before I could react I was once again lifted off the ground. This time the male spun and threw me into a wall before dragging me across it. He then pulled on the chains violently pulling the blade out of my skin causing me to let out another large cry of pain.
I then crashed to the ground and tried to get up but found that I was struggling to do so. "You know, for the vessel of the Shadowlord you're surprisingly weak," He said as he looked at me. I glared at him hearing this and then he reached up to his mouth and began to whistle. As he did a large Beowolf jumped through the window and latched onto me. "A bit boring if you ask me but nevertheless the mission is complete. The vessel has successfully been retrieved," He said as he jumped out of the building the Beowolf following behind him as he did.
