hotch had put you and spencer together to study the crime scene. this unsub had killed a white male in his early 30's. he had stabbed him multiple times, then finished the kill by slashing the throat.

you: you know what's weird?

spence: what?

you: the kill was done with a kitchen knife. the PD found it right by that bush.

spence: hm, that is weird. maybe he didn't have any other weapons. which means this unsubs disorganized.

you: see that's what i was thinking. but what if the unsub didn't kill this man here?

spence: what do you mean?

you: i feel this unsub broke into this mans house, killed him with his own kitchen knife, then brought him out here.

spence: hm. it looks like the unsub is a narcissistic.

you: how so?

spence: well he leaves the bodies out in the open, specifically for us too see. he wanted the police to find the body.

you: hotch, we found out new stuff about the victim, and the unsub.

hotch: great. come back. we are about to deliver the profile. also tell them to investigate the body further.
