Chapter 2: Truth hurts

"No. Why would there be?" I said with a duh face.
"Anyways thanks for the potion, weird old scary lady that everyone is afraid of but talks behind your back." ......

Wait what?!

I looked at her with wide eyes.
She just looked at me like -.- < yeah like that.
"Sorry Madame Eel...... Not really." I closed my mouth tight. And looked down.

She sighed. "Just go. And be careful." She said rolling her eyes.

Eesh what's gotten into her?

After I left the cave, I heard the waves crashing.

Oh that's right, the cave is near the sea.

I went to go see if Sage is there.

I poked my head out from the rocks and there I saw a beautiful creature with white fair skin and gorgeous blue fins.

My heart raced very fast. Oh how much I fell hard for this girl.

I creeped up, trying to surprise her.

"Boo!" I said out loud beside her.

Just then she screamed and then she...

slapped me? With her fin?!

"Ow!!" I said in pain.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I was startled! Are you okay?" She said worried.

I looked up and smiled at her.

Just then I started saying stuff that I regretted.

"Are you sure you want to be in a relationship? I mean, we are two different creatures with two different kingdoms. I feel like this relationship will probably be over, over time. Also did you know that you look ugly when you cry? I mean, either cry when no one is looking or don't cry at all? Am I right?"
My eyes widened when I realized what I said and I covered my mouth with both of my hands.

I looked at her and all I could see were tears forming in her eyes.

My heart was breaking, seeing her with a sad face.

"No Sage I-" I was moving closer to her but she moved back.
"Sage?...... Why don't you back to your strange  kingdom?" WFT did I just say????!!!!

She finally let all her tears flow down. And my heart was in pain.

I didn't mean that!! That wasn't the truth!!

Sage then said, "Fine then, if you doubt our relationship and my kingdom then that's perfect! I will just say that what I said about you and me was a joke to my family!! I don't want to see you again!" She finally said diving into the sea.

She already told her family? About us? Is that why she looked upset?

Wait more importantly! WTF did I say???!!!

The eel said that it was a truth potion not a lie potion!!

"There are some side effects and... You might say something you might regret!"

Dammit!! I didn't listen to her.

Because of my stupid impatience, I said exactly the opposite of what I wanted to say.

What the hell am I going to do??

She won't forgive me.

Wait...

We will never see each other again!!

Crap!!

"SAGE!!"

"SAGE!!"

"SA-"

"Son, who are yelling to?" I turned to see my father.

Okay it now or never. Just say it!

I took a deep breath.

"Father, I-.."
