What? I stared at him wide-eyed.

Loki stared at me for a few moments, "Well? Are you interested or not?"

I nodded my head eagerly at him. I wanted to be able to have a multi person conversation without being left out or talked about as if I weren't there.

"I can do it now, but I do have a price," Loki informed me.

I hesitated, remembering what Pietro had told me about Loki and that I should be cautious around him.

Loki seemed to sense my unease. "It is nothing bad Lady Syrena, I merely wish to have a favor from you," he informed me.

I gave him a look, what kind of favor?

"Oh don't look at me like that, I merely want a favor in case I ever have need of it," Loki informed me.

He crouched down again and offered me a hand, "Do we have a deal?" He asked.

I was still confused on the hand thing, but I slowly put my hand in his.

He grinned, "Now then, this will most likely feel... uncomfortable..." Loki informed me as he released my hand and moved it towards my throat.

I felt uncomfortable with his hand there, but I wanted a voice. A green glow emanated from his fingertips once more. I could feel the wisps enter my skin and into my throat.

Uncomfortable was a bit of an understatement. It was borderline excruciating.

I thrashed my tail, splashing water everywhere.

Loki pulled away, the green glow dissipated. "There, that should do it," Loki said as he stood back to his full height.

"I would not try to use your voice now, the bonds of your flesh need to gain strength before you attempt that. Wait a few more hours before trying," he informed, turning back towards the door.

I stared after him as he left.
