"Why did you cheat on her?" I asked knowing it wasn't my place but I was curious.
He hesitated on answering the question wishing I didn't ask him but he started talking anyway.
"Is it really any of your business" Chris said
"I was just trying to see was this secret worth keeping" I said smirking
As soon as I said that Chris pulled over putting the car in park.
"What's your name?" Chris asked
"Jayda" I said
"Look Jayda I'm serious about this you gotta take that to ya grave" Chris said
"Why you worried about me how do you know the girl ain't gonna tell anybody" I said
"I just know" Chris said
"Mmhhh whatever" I said rolling my eyes
"She cheated on me" Chris said
I turned to him and saw that his eyes were watery. I could tell he was hurt and even though I didn't know him I felt bad for him.
"Are you ok?" I said
"Part of me feels guilty and the other half doesn't..... lately she hasn't even been acting the same... I just wanted to feel better so I slept with ole girl at the party" Chris said
"When did you find out?" I asked
"Tonight actually an unknown number sent me a video of her and some other nigga in a room together" Chris said
I felt bad for him because he probably really loved her and she cheated, but to be honest they both cheated now.
"That's probably why she wasn't at the party tonight" I said giving him a back rub to cheer him up
"Aye you ain't gotta do that I'm Ight" Chris said
I could tell that was a lie but I respected his wishes and stopped.
"Look your secret is safe with me and I won't tell anyone I promise" I said giving him a smile
Chris started the car back up and was headed to get me something to eat before dropping me back off. It was silent until Chris asked me something.
"What do you think I should do?" Chris asked
I honestly was in no position to give anybody relationship advice when I've never been in a real one myself.
"I honestly don't know I've never been in a real relationship" I said honestly
"You've never had a boyfriend" Chris said busting out into laughter.
"It's not that funny" I said smacking my lips and laughing
"Have you ever been kissed?" Chris asked
"Once at my middle school dance" I said feel embarrassed.
"Wowww this kinda makes me feel better" Chris said laughing.
"Shut up" I said punching his arm
After we got my food a couple minutes later we pulled up to my house. I could see my dad car in the driveway. Finally he's home but he probably still wouldn't give me any attention.
"Thanks for the ride Chris" I said
"Your Welcome and thank you for cheering me up" Chris said
"Glad I could help" I said getting out of the car
We gave each other a hug and when I tell you he smelt so good. Erica was so stupid to cheat on him. He seemed like a nice guy to be with. I walked into the house and to my surprise I was greeted by my dad and a woman.
"Hey my sweet girl" Phillip said reaching in for a hug.
"Hey dad I missed you" I said giving my dad a hug
"I missed you to" Phillip said
"Not to be rude but who is this?" I asked
"Oh yes I would like to introduce you to my Fiancé" Phillip said
"Hi Jayda nice to meet you I'm Monica" Monica said with a smile
I couldn't believe what I heard I ran upstairs to my room. I tried to stop the tears from coming but I couldn't they were coming out like a waterfall. I locked my door and went to my bathroom. I couldn't believe he brings a random lady in here saying that's his Fiancé.
My dad would always put work before me and my mama ,and til this day he still does. Except my mama isn't around anymore so I'm more lonely then I've ever been. I always understood that he had a lot on his plate with work but he could at least spend time with us. Now he walks in here with this lady I don't know like he kept this from me for this long.
I took a shower and text my friends to make sure they got home ok and went to sleep.
