Ghost had grown up in the forest, so she saw nothing wrong with it. Noah though, hadn't liked the idea. She had planned a getaway while he was gone for work, but he begged her not to go camping. She made a promise to herself to make up with him today though, since he was leaving later that day.

Noah. Don't leave until we talk. She sent a text to him.

Please. She added as an after thought.

I have a while before I leave. I will come there. He sent back and she sighed in relief.

Noah lived with his parents. The rest of the time he lived at her place. His various things around her apartment gave her a sense of peace. He was the man she wanted to grow old with. Sure they had their fights, but he was everything to her.

He didn't ring the bell, he came in. She was thankful that their was no longer tension in the air. He hated arguing just as much as her.

"I have come up with a compromise." She said as soon as he came in.

"I'm listening." He said as he sat down on her couch.

Her bodies reaction to his still surprised her all the time. Even now, during a serious conversation, she could feel herself go wet with need. She shook her head to clear it before she spoke again.

"I will go the weekend instead of the whole week and I will camp at Black Rock." She compromised as he went quiet in thought.

"That's right next to your dads cabin?" He immediately questioned and she nodded.

Her father had grew tired of humanity and lived as a hermit in the mountains. She had grown up that way, but he had barely protested when she told him she had wanted to experience cities and get to know other people. He didn't like it but he understood. He had made her promise to contact him at least once a week and had even bought a cell so he could stay in touch with her. She had been meaning to go see him, but had been to busy.

"It's about two miles from his cabin." When he nodded, she had hope that her compromise might be enough that she could go without upsetting him.

"Please Noah. I have been begging you to go and this is the first chance that I have had." She added, knowing he was considering.

"I know and I will still be busy when I get back. Damn dad and him wanting me to take over." He said with a sigh and buried his head in his hands. She chuckled softly as she went to him.

"Most kids wouldn't complain about their parents leaving them a company worth that much." She answered with amusement as he snorted.

His parents owned multiple companies. His dad had started a security firm that now ran itself with one of his dads old veteran buddies running it. His mom ran a non profit medical office as well as a computer tech company. Both were so ambitious that Noah often felt he let them down.

"Neither of us has ever cared about the money. We have done fine on our own without our parents help." She reminded him as she hugged him from behind.

"We value other things more." She whispered and judging by how his body went still, she knew he could tell what she was thinking, like he always somehow did.

"Do you have time?" She whispered and was rewarded with one the rumbles that came from his chest and seemed to come from deep down without thought.

" I will make it. I just wish I could go with you. The thought of us and just nature around us is almost to much to bare." He loved nature just as much as her and often went on his daily hikes or runs with her. They took almost nearly every chance to get out of the house into nature.
