Kira was heading to the Heathrow Airport with Adam who was giving her a ride. Kyoya had finished his training and was finally ready to face Gingka and he wanted his lover to see him defeating his rival.
'And we're here!' the blader with dark blue hair spoke and stopped the car near the airport's entrance.
Soon Kira was already inside the plane and ready to fly to Amsterdam.
She would have to stay in the city's airport for a while since the flight to Tokyo was some hours after her arrival. After some time there, the passengers were informed that all the flights until the next day would be cancelled due to some strange phenomena in the sky.
Everyone was upset that the flights had been cancelled. Many of the people there had plans and now they had to reschedule them. Kira had plans too and, because of that, she would miss Kyoya's battle against Gingka. The female texted him explaining the situation and then headed to a hotel near the airport to book a room for the night.
'At least the room is nice,' Kira thought as she walked to the window in her room.
The city was beautiful. She had always been a fan of Amsterdam.
Suddenly, she saw a beam of light approaching the window. Her teal eyes widen as she turned around and got down. She was waiting for a strong impact, but she ended up not feeling it.
The girl opened her eyes slowly and looked around. Everything was normal, nothing was broken. Then, she noticed her Beyblade behind her. It was different.
Kira took Phoenix in her hands and observed it carefully. It was heavier. The red energy ring wasn't made of plastic anymore, it was made of solid and strong red glass... no that wasn't glass, it was something else, but she didn't know what. Its spin track changed as well and was now made out of metal.
Finally, the blader noticed Phoenix's face bolt. It didn't say Immortal Phoenix anymore in small letters. It said Eternal Phoenix.
The red-haired girl picked her phone and called Brandon immediately to ask him if he had done anything to Phoenix along with Ben during the maintenance after the World Championships.
Brandon didn't know what was going on either. He had done nothing to change the red Beyblade and Ben wouldn't even dare to do so.
'I have no idea how it changed, Kira,' the raven-haired boy explained. 'And Ben wouldn't do something like that. I can call him though...'
'No, it's not necessary. He's probably taking care of Ash right now,' Kira replied remembering the British shorthair grey cat Kyoya had given her.
Was it that light? Could that beam change Phoenix? It was the only explanation... Anyway, she was going to be able to find out more once she arrived in Japan.
When she arrived there, she went straight to her home to unpack and then called Kyoya who didn't pick up the phone... how predictable. Since her lover didn't give any signs of being alive, she headed to the WBBA HQ where she learnt that her bey wasn't the only one that had changed. Pegasus and Leone were different as well.
Hikaru informed Kira that the two rivals would be battling against Kenta and Benkei so they could analyse their beyblades more carefully later that day and that she could join them.
The blader did that and appeared at the stadium at the time Hikaru had indicated. She was the first one to arrive.
'Kira, I didn't know you were back from the UK!' Madoka exclaimed happily.
'I was supposed to have arrived yesterday,' she replied. 'Kyoya wanted me to see that epic battle between Gingka and him.'
Then, Gingka arrived along with Kenta.
'Kira, hi!' the ginger boy greeted the girl and Kenta did the same.
'I heard your Pegasus changed its form,' Kira spoke after greeting her friends as well.
'It did! And it's crazy!' the ginger blader spoke and showed the girl his beyblade.
'Phoenix did the same.'
'It did?' a surprised Madoka asked. 'Can I see it?'
The female lent her bey to the mechanic who observed it.
'Everything is metal here, except the performance tip,' she concluded. 'And the energy ring, it looks like ruby or something. This combination will make Phoenix way stronger than it already was.'
'Let's test it!' Kenta exclaimed ready to face Kira.
The two headed to the stadiums at the arena and got ready to launch their beyblades. When Phoenix hit the ground, it was faster than ever before.
Madoka couldn't believe her eyes as she analysed the bey with her laptop. All its stats had increased. She then asked Kira to try Phoenix's left rotation.
'Phoenix, Rise From The Ashes!'
The red Beyblade began spinning to the left and then Madoka analysed it. The fusion wheel wasn't the only thing different. The performance tip had also changed to a Left Rubber Flat.
'We need to send this data to the WBBA,' Hikaru said and Phoenix returned to Kira's hands.
Gingka would be the next one to face Kenta. But, before he launched his bey, Kyoya and Benkei appeared.
The green-haired male seemed surprised to see his lover there, but he was happy. The couple kissed passionately and then Kyoya told her about his bey. Little did he know, her Phoenix was stronger and different too.
'So, there are more beys changing forms, huh?' he spoke once the red-haired girl showed him her Phoenix.
'Don't tell me you're jealous,' Kira tease her boyfriend.
'Yeah, whatever. Let's just get this thing done,' he replied. It was obvious he didn't like the fact that now he had to battle against Benkei so Ryo and Hikaru with Madoka's help could try to figure out what had happened with his Beyblade.
While Gingka and Kyoya battled, Kira told the mechanic and the others about the beam of light she had seen before noticing Phoenix's changes. Madoka had seen a beam of light as well... it looked like they were being able to get some pieces of the puzzle together.
'Hey, how much longer are you planning on subjecting me to these test battles!?' an impatient Kyoya spoke after a while.
He was tired of being examined and, even when Ryo and Hikaru explained to him why it was important to understand what had happened, he didn't show any interest in helping and Benkei ended up being the one to tell about the beam of light that had hit the green Beyblade.
When Madoka and the others heard that, they realized it was no coincidence that all beys had been hit by a mysterious light. However, Kyoya couldn't care less and left. He was there to battle Gingka and not to spent time in some pointless test battles.
'I'm going after him,' Kira spoke and prepared to follow her loved one.
'I'm going too!' Benkei exclaimed.
'No, you're not,' the female said firmly.
'Why?' he asked her as she walked past him.
'Because I said so.'
Kira headed outside the stadium and then walked the gardens around it trying to find the upset blader. Then she spotted him. The female hurried to get to him. She could hear Gingka and the others walking a little far from her, but she didn't care. She just wanted to talk to Kyoya and knock some sense into his head.
