FOREWORD

IN THE JUJUTSU WORLD, even the peculiar is ordinary. The people who are blind to the treacherous curses that co-exist with them are naive, like the little kids whose parents feed them fairytales about princesses and their knights in shining armours and their obnoxious happily ever after's. That is bullshit. Akane knows that. In this world- the real world- curses don't hesitate to eat your hate, fear and anger. They gain some sort of twisted relish feeding on your negative feelings, all while you're blissfully unaware. 

Akane hated every curse with a burning passion- how could she not? Those hexed beings ruined her life even before she could learn to speak. She hated her family, the (remaining) Amano clan members with a burning passion, because again- how could she not? They were the reason she was cursed. The reason for her hideous half-half appearance. The reason why half of her body is equivalent to the inhuman curses she despised. 

They were the reason why she was literally bounded to a fate she wanted to run away from. Every night under the pale moon, the silver light would forcibly reveal the blood-red thread tied around her finger. It can't be untangled, that feeble little thing was more indestructible than any of the curses she ever encountered. Maybe it was the strongest curse to exist?

 It took her a while to accept her forced fate- but she did. She promised herself to end the pitiful existence of the scum who was attached to the other end of the string. Akane was told that the thread would lead her to a curse, and she would have the kill that curse even if it kills her. 

And then, Akane met the other end of the thread. She was ready to kill him, not develop feelings.

AUTHOR'S NOTE 

Admittedly, I never expected that I would write a fanfic for anime... yet here we are. As soon as I started watching JJK I knew  I wanted to experiment with the fandom because hello?? The world building?? It was too tempting to say no to lmao. It was a bit of a struggle to come up with a plot and I ended up just taking the plot of Selene (my Teen Wolf fic) and making a few changes here and there because my brain just couldn't , for the life of me, come up with a good plot 💀 This is probably the 4th(?) soulmate AU I created... I think we can safely establish now that Sia 🤝 soulmate AU's.

A few points before we head on to the story:

📎 I know what I said in the note earlier, but this isn't a soulmate AU. Yuji and Akane aren't star crossed lovers, there's just a thread (that's not actually a thread hehe) that ties Akane to Sukuna, who just happens to be reincarnated into Yuji.

📎 THIS WILL CONTAIN MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS! Please be careful if you haven't read the manga, or just go ahead if you don't really care lmao.

📎 There are more OC's in the story other than Akane who will be a canon character's love interest (*cough* Gojo *cough*) but I haven't introduced them solely because I don't have a faceclaim yet. Once the character is introduced and I decide on someone I'll include the faceclaim for them.

📎 I'm trying to pre-write this but my every attempt at pre-writing in the past has flopped, so please bear with me if I don't update on time 👹
