In life,There are people you look up to.
People that inspire you.

'No! Reach! Please Reach,'

Bam**

Clatters**

But there are people who are meant to be a role model to you.
They blocked the way toward the vast clearer view with their mighty and thick back facing you.

Even if you try your best to reach them, surpass them, you are always an inch short.

Noise**

Noise**

"Adrian Vesta received an award from the President for his contribution to the new vaccine that helps to stop the spread of viruses that's terrorizing the entire world. Not only is he......"

Angela looks at the television with her blurry gaze.
She is already 37.

She is a lawyer that just recently failed a case while his twin brother is a successful man everyone is looking up to.

She rubs her eyes and stands up.

"Boss, How much do I owe you?"
She said to the small restaurant owner that is also watching the television on the counter.

"Are you going home? Can you go home?"
He frowns seeing her blinking her eyes with drowsiness.

Angela smiles.
"I can. I can."

After leaving the restaurant, Angela walks to her bus stop to wait for her ride.
She was a lawyer who couldn't even win a simple case.

She actually doesn't want to be a lawyer.
It's just.....something she wants to do to make her parents look at her.

It backfired when she kept on losing her case.

She sniffs again and looks up.

"Why am I doing in my life? I am already 37." A lot of her batchmates in highschool are now mothers or successful in their chosen career.

Beep*

She stood up and walked to the bus.

Sigh**

She was already 24 when she left home.
She thought it was easy being independent.
In the back of her head, she thought her parents would chase her.
But maybe they are given amnesty to finally get rid of her.

The one who went to find her is her older and only brother, Adrian.

She said some sharp words and painful remarks to him.
They are not that close to begin with.

After that, he never went back.
She can't blame him.
She's too full of herself blaming him for her own stupidity.

But what can she do?

Only a few seconds before Adrian went out, she followed him.
But those small gaps become so much wider.

Whatever Adrian does, he can do them so well.
While she struggles in doing them.
She tries competing with every little thing.
Even she thought it's pathetic now that she is recollecting her past.

"It's too much. Why gave him all the brain and talent?"
She said as she laid down on her bed.

She takes a deep breath.

'I don't want to live like this.'

'I don't want to continue this life.'

In the middle of the black tunnel you wished to cross...You realize how much you struggle, you will not end up on the other side.
So what else you can do....but to trace back your feet and leave the race.

Go back to where you go.
And walk the life you refuse to walk to because of your silly pride.

I, Angela Vesta, hereby swear never to chase my brother again.
