𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗁𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗂𝗇𝖾'𝗌 𝗏𝗂𝗅𝗅𝖺𝗂𝗇𝗈𝗎𝗌 𝗌𝗂𝗌𝗍𝖾𝗋

𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿

" are you gonna keep hiding " I said as I continue to rip more pages from the book

" w-why didn't you fight with your father?" he said quietly sitting side of me but still far

" I saw no point of fighting anymore " I mumble

I then started making the paper out of cranes. He stares at me as I fold it. When I was about to give it to him. He flinched and looked away. I look down and I get up.

" I'm so sorry for bullying you, Lawrence. I took my anger out on you for my problems. I deeply apologize, can we start over. I can take any form of punishment, I take can it " I shout at him

He turns red and his eyes wide

" s-stop " he stutters

I plop back down continuing my cranes

" I just wanted to apologize " I pout

" are you okay? , I heard you almost drowned maybe you need a doctor " he mumbles the last part

He stares at my more paper cranes

" what are you doing," he said

" there is a legend that if you make a thousand paper cranes you will be granted a wish from the gods " I laugh slightly

" what are you gonna wish for," he said

" I don't know yet," I said

Maybe to run away. That's when a strong wind pushes the cranes to fly into the air. I gasp and he panics. Both of us try to grab the cranes and we bump into each other trying to the same grabbing one.

I land on top of him and his face worries but I burst into laughter. His face changes to a smile and we sit back next to the tree. Expect he sits more closer to me.

" Lawrence I do apologize, " I said

"you're just like me, never loved by parents," he said smiling sadly

" here I can teach you, then we can share a wish " I smile

He blushes but smiles

" wait is your dad okay with you ripping the book," he said

" sure " I shrug

He panicked looking around and I show him how to make the crane while he wasn't looking.

" hey if you are going to miss the lesson with the folding of the cranes, I will only teach you once " I tease

" wait what, s-start again," he said panicking more

I laugh and he tried to do it from what he saw

" I'm only joking, here you do this thing and ... yeah "

He turns the paper and after many failed attempts. He makes one while I made about 5 already.

"I did it, I did it Lydia " he smiles

10 hours later

" move a bit over Lawrence," I said

We just finished the cranes and now we're putting them on the tree. The sun was setting and Lawrence got a string from the mansion. Now I'm on Lawrence's shoulders trying to put the last crane.

" Lydia we should take a break, I don't want you to fall " he worries

" wait for just one more and we're don- "

I hang the string on the branch. When I fist pump the air that's when I fall over causing both of us to fall over.

" Lydia are you okay? " he worries

I grab his hand and push him down so he looks up laying down next to me. We stare up and the cranes are hovering over us. The sun setting made it even prettier. I hear him gasp and lift his free hand.

" it's so pretty " he whispers

" call me Angeline, " I said smiling

" w-what," he said

" call me Angeline from now on, we're close now aren't we, " I said laughing

" y-yeah I guess we are " he blushes

We stayed a bit longer and the wind began to makes us cold. We both shiver. I get up still holding Lawrence's hand from pushing him. He blushes and I smile.

" hurry it's getting cold, I can ask grace to make us hot cocoa," I said

I run still holding his hand and laugh going back into the house.
