Born in May
Made from grace
Clear as fade.
Beyond waters she travels 
Through the waves she surfs.

To everyone she was weak,
To everyone she was fragile.
To her friends she needed saving,
To her colleagues she needed help,
To everyone she needed something.

Born smart but stubborn,
Born bright but rude,
Born perfect but hopeless
That was what everyone saw in her.
A failure she was called a thousand times,
A nobody she was reminded a billion times
But yet through waves she surfs.

Life didn't mean her well,
Humanity didn't mean her good,
Circumstances never favoured her,
So she thought.
On the same day she breathe live, 
She felt death.
She battled from one war to another.
As a child she knew what mercy meant,
As a child she knew how grace felt,
As a child she knew how pity smelt.

Opportunity, they say comes but once. But in her case it kept coming, coming and coming. 
She turned her weakness to strenght,
Her fragility to vitality,
And her opportunities she used wisely.
To some she was nice,
To others she was foolish.
To some she was humble, 
To others she was proud.
To some she was a disgrace, a person who deserved everything bad.
Some said her personality was awful, others liked her that way.
She made more enemies than friends.

At first, everything would get to her. She would cry and hate the day she was born.
She saw everyone as her problem.
Everyone she saw as her downfall.
But as she grew, she realized something
Not all opinion about her counts,
Not everyone is to be listened to,
Not all words are to be considered.
And so, she trusted her instincts,
Trusted her path,
Trusted herself to make the difference.

To turn her foolishness to fame,
Her pride to power,
Her disappointment to appointment.
She was determined to use her grace,
To write her own history, 
To change her story,
To make a name.

She was born in May, 
Made by Grace,
Clear as day,
She was Grace.
