Chapter 1: Charmander, I Choose You!

Ash has always loved Pokémon, and on his 16th birthday he finally got to get his own. His rival Gary also turned 16 and was getting his own Pokémon. Ash got his hat and got his stuff packed and headed to Professor Oak’s lab. Gary was there with a crowd of people. Another boy from Pallet had already picked his Pokémon he chose Bulbasaur so all that was left was Charmander and Squirtle.

Gary saw Ash reach for Squirtle and quickly pushed him out of the way and got the ball with Squirtle inside. “Ha you snooze you lose Ashy-boy.” Gary ran off and got in a car with a horde of cheerleaders. They drove off laughing at the glaring boy.

Ash got Charmander. He let the fire type out of his ball, and Charmander smiled at him. “Hey there Charmander let’s be great friends.” He petted the fire type and he cooed happily. He brought out the Pokéball and tried to return Charmander into it but the fire type dodged the beam. He latched onto Ash’s leg like he was scared of going back into his ball.

“Interesting I’ve never seen such a reaction before.” Oak said and Ash lifted him up.

It’s ok Charmander you can walk with me, you don’t have to be in your ball if you don’t want to.” He got a hug from the little fire type. Ash set off on his Pokémon Journey.

Charmander Liked Walking Beside Ash, But Preferred Staying In His Pokéball. Ash checked his Pokédex and looked over Charmander’s moves.

Blaze – In a pinch will boost the power of fire type moves

Scratch

Growl

Ember

Smokescreen

“Charmander let’s go make some new friends.” Ash said and Charmander pumped his fist in the air.

As they pumped their fist into the air, Ash and Charmander noticed that there was a big electric outburst at the back of the laboratory.

"Huh? What was that?"

Ash and Charmander went to investigate the scene, only to find Professor Oak Trying To Contain a Pikachu.

"Professor, Are You Okay?" Ask Asked As The Pikachu Used Thunder Shock.

"Yes, I'm Fine Ash, I'm just handling this Pikachu."

Ash Without Thinking, Rushed towards the Pikachu and tried to calm it down, hugging it and patting it's head and tail.

"Pikaaaaaa"

Pikachu was comfortable in Ash's Arms While Professor Oak is in shock to see that a 10 year old boy took 5 minutes to calm a Pokémon down when it took him hours.

Professor Oak, Thinking, Decided to give Pikachu to Ash.

"Ash, I would like you to have this Pikachu."

"Can I really have it Professor?"

"Well, It's really better for you and me and it seems to have taken a likings towards you." Professor states as the Pikachu jumps on Ash's head, Resting in his hat.

Ash Put Pikachu on the ground and decided to check it's moves first.

Static - Contact With The Pokémon May Cause Paralysis.

Thundershock

Thunderbolt

Quick Attack

Disarming Voice

Disarming Voice Is An Egg Move That Is Unlocked.

"It is really good that you got an Egg Move, Now Let's Go!" Ash Declares As Charmander And Pikachu As They Set Out On Their Journey.

"Wait! Ash! You forgot Pikachu's Pokéball!"

"Sorry Professor!" Ash Apologizes as he took the Pokéball.

"Now let's really go!" Ash Says as He and His Pokémon once again rushes out the laboratory.

"Hmmm... Let's go to Route 1!"

His Pokémon Cheered as they walked to Route 1 Together.

"I'll be waiting..." Ash Felt a shiver up his spine but ignored it and just thought it was his own imagination, only to find out that The God Of Pokémon Himself Is Watching.
