Chapter 2 - Secret Practice They Said

The practiced ended. The upperclassmen offered to walk me home which I kindly declined and told them that I will go home with my uncle

But I know none of them would stop unless I accept their offer 'Should I text Takeda about this?' I thought grabbing my f/c earbuds

As I was texting Takeda, we heard a gentle knock. Daichi opened it only to reveal Kageyama and Hinata. I stand beside the captain as I secretly recording them 

"1,2. We will work together in a match against those of your choosing!" they said in a purrfect sync to Daichi 

I look at Daichi which he smirk "I think I heard them say '1,2'" Sugawara said, I nod as I stop recording 

"Okay, since there will be two other joining the team around your age, they will be on my team. Tanaka will be on your team" Daichi said 

Tanaka was having a small panic attack about them in the team while Sugawara trying to calm him down with his angelic voice 

As Daichi explained about limit stuff or idk cuz I didn't listen well causing Kageyama to get pissed. I softly sigh as Sugawara closed the door ignoring another quarrels outside 

Tanaka leaned against the wall, making me look at him as he began coughing suspiciously 'Stop that shit you're spreading corona'

"Uh hey! What time is the morning practice tomorrow?" Tanaka asked "It's 7am, why are you asking?" Sugawara asked raising a brow at the second year 

"Uhh...hey! Did the dean's hair go undamaged?!" he shouted trying to change the topic causing me to pull up my scarf trying not to laugh "We are not talking about that!" Daichi scolded 

'Oya? Oya? Secret match~' I thought as I smirk behind my scarf

The next day I woke up 4am since I want to see them practice. I put f/b on the table for Takeda then leave a note about going to school early 

I left the house as I started walking at the sidewalk with my earbuds on listening some f/m,  softly humming at the tone till I arrive at the school entrance

I stopped walking as I felt a hand on my shoulder and grabbed it firmly, causing the person to wince in pain "L-L/n, it's me" a calm voice replied as I turned to face Sugawara

I instantly let go of his hand and apologized, which he forgave me instantly "I didn't realize you were a great singer" he complimented

"Thank you, senpai" I responded, smiling "No need to be so formal, just call me Suga" he said "Then call me Y/n" 

Both of us began walking and there was a long silence which I broke it immediately since it was very awkward 

"What are you doing here tho?" I raised a brow at him pretending I didn't know about the secret practice or any shit 

"I could asked you the same thing but I think you are here for Tanaka right?" he asked 'This angel can sense lies to his children' I let out a small chuckle 

"Yes. He is one big idiot, thinking we didn't know about this" I said which makes him laugh "You know, you should talk a lot sometimes. You have a great voice" he compliment again making me look at him

"D-Don't think of t-that, I m-mean uhm..." Sugawara's face was already red like a tomato as he try making an excuse of the word that he slipped out 

As we neared the school gym, I replied "I will and thanks for showering me with compliments early in the morning" to which he responded with an awkward laugh "Sorry, if you think of me as a weird person" he said "It's alright, everyone can act weird"
