LIGHTSPEED RESCUE

Dana's pov
It's been a week since the almost kiss we just pass each other now and every now and then talk to each other during fights or when we're in the megazord and that's it

"DANA" Kelsey yelled as she snapped her fingers in front of me

"Yeah" I replied

"What do you think??"

I looked around and saw chad , Joel and Carter look at me

"I'm sorry I spaced out" I replied

"We said we should go to the beach" Joel replied

"Yeah , sure" I replied

"Well , then let's go get ready" Kelsey said as she grabbed my hand and headed to our room to get ready I put my swimsuit on with a pair of shorts and an open shirt over so it wouldn't be to revealing till we got to the beach

We walked over to the rescue jeep and saw Chad and Joel waiting there for us

"Where's Carter?"Kelsey asked as she looked at the boys

"He had to get some work done he's meeting as at the beach" chad replied as he jumped in the back while Joel climbed into the driver's seat I sat in the front seat while Kelsey jumped in the seat behind me

We reached the beach and got out and walked over to the shore and found a spot me and Kelsey opened our blanket and took a seat as Joel and Chad took off running into the water

"I wonder where Carter is ??" Kelsey asked

"I don't know"

"Hey guys" we heard causing me and Kelsey to turn around and the boys to run back towards us

"Hey" we all said in response

"Guys I want you to meet Taylor" he said pointing to the very beautiful model looking blonde near him

"Hey" we said smiling at her

"You guys don't mind if I take off for a few hours do you??" Carter asked

"Nahh , go head have fun" Chad said and we all nodded

Carter and Taylor walked away from us

"Damn she is fine" Joel said getting a wolf whistle from Chad

"Eww gross " me and Kelsey said

After that we spend the rest of the day on the beach and had a good time but I couldn't help thinking about what Carter and Taylor who was she?? Was she the 'others' he was talking about the other day

"Hey Dana come on we have to go Carter said to join him and Taylor at the diner" Chad said helping me up

"You okay dane's?? You been really distant lately" he asked concerned

"I'm good just a lot going on" I said and gave me a knowing nod

"Well just know you can talk to me about anything" he said with a smile

I nodded and gave him a hug , Chad is the oldest of the five of us and he's like a brother to me we're really close and we talk about everything but recently with everything going on it's been kind of hard to get the time to talk to each other I was bought back to reality when Joel parked the jeep

"We're here and now it's time to get me some food" Joel said rubbing his hands together causing everyone to laugh

We got out and walked into the diner we spotted Carter and Taylor sitting in a booth at the back we walked over and sat down I didn't even know where I was sitting until I looked up and saw Taylor opposite me

"What can I get you guys" the waiter asked

"Number 5's all round and two diet Coke's and 3 sprite's please and thank you . I forget" Joel said and turned around , "Taylor what would you like ??" He asked

"Oh I'll have a Sprite please" she replied as the waiter took down our order

"So Taylor what do you do??" Chad asked from besides me

"Oh I work in the Air force over in Turtle Cove" she replied

"What's your rank??" Kelsey asked

"Lieutenant" she replied

"Ohh well that's higher than any of us except Mr. Fire Captain there" Joel said making us all laugh

"What do you guys do??" She asked

"Well before lightspeed I was a sports enthusiast used to do a lot for adventure activities like mountain climbing , and hiking and now I head the disaster rescue team" Kelsey responded

"Disaster rescue??" Taylor said a little confused

"Oh it's basically swinging , jumping and climbing buildings , trees or whatever to save people" she replied

"We'll before lightspeed I was and am the sky cowboy now I run air rescue" Joel said

"Wait you fly too??" Taylor said

"Wait , you mean lieutenant as in lieutenant in the sky??" Joel asked

"Yeah" she replied laughing

"Cool" Joel replied

"Well I was a dolphin trainer , and part time life guard and now I run underwater rescue" chad said

"That's cool " Taylor said and everyone turned to me

"Ohh I'm a paramedic" I responded

"Only the best in the business!!" I looked up to see Carter looking at me smiling  I smiled back

We spent the rest of the dinner making small talk when Taylor's phone rang

"Lieutenant Earhardt ok I'll be by dawn" she said into the phone and then she hung up

"I'm sorry guys it was nice meeting you all , but this thing's come up and I've got to be on the bus back to Turtle Cove" she said

"Yeah , worry about it" Chad said

"It was lovely meeting you all"she said as she and Carter stood up

"Do you need a ride??" Carter asked and all of us nodded

"No thanks I mean the bus station is 5 minutes away I'll walk" she said and all of looked at Carter

"Well that is something you would do! Let me walk you to the door" he replied

I couldn't help but look in their direction they stood I front of the door and hugged and she gave him kiss on the cheek and left Carter got back and we payed and walked out

"Crap I think I'm gonna walk I ate to much" Joel said

"Me and Joel have to get our miles in for the day" Kelsey replied dragging Joel along before I got say anything I was left alone at the car with Carter

I just sighed and got in the car , with Carter in the driver's seat

"So how did you like Taylor??" He asked finally breaking the silence

"She's nice , very driven and inspired" I responded looking at the beach as we drove past

"She gets it from her mom , she was just like her , she gave up a fortune to join the force and everyone shuned her and things got worse when my dad wanted the same thing too , when her mom died she lived with me and my dad then she moved to Turtle Cove when she turned 16 and joined the force there , and sure enough everyone turned away from her but I couldn't I mean she's my cousin after all then  I joined the fire department"-

Cousin???!! Oh my god she's his cousin thank god , we pulled up in the base and got out the car

"Thanks for the ride Carter" I said

"Anytime dane's" he replied
