Nora's New Boyfriend

Today was a rather interesting day. Nora was hanging on someone's arm, but it wasn't Ren. It was Kobalt from team FNKI. It was kind of weird to see her with him since she's never shown interest in anyone else than Ren. Nora and Kobalt went their separate ways. The bubbly girl entered her room seeing Ren was meditating. She was careful to not disturb him,"Nora, where have you been?" He asked opening his eyes. She looked at him, "Just out on a solo mission." His gaze fixated on Nora, "Funny, didn't know solo missions included two people." This made Nora smirk a bit. It was a good chance to get Ren jealous, "Well, I mean when you have a boyfriend in your life it's like a package deal, can't have one without the other." This caught Ren off guard, "Wait what?" Nora giggled at him, "Yeah, Kobalt and I are dating, hope that's not an issue." She looked at him with a smile. Ren forced a small smile, "Of course not, you're free to make your own choices." After that she walked out. Ren pondered this new info.

Later that night Ren decided to go on a few missions by himself to take his mind off things. While in the middle of killing off a few Grimm, he huffed out of breath. He had a weird feeling, but shook it off  assuming it was him feeling tired. He heard a scream and sliced the Grimm with ease. He noticed the young girl on the ground behind him and turned to help her up, "Are you okay?" He asked giving a warm smile. Upon making eye contact with her, he couldn't help but think of Nora, when they had met. The girl smiled and ran off. Ren sighed heading back up to Atlas.

As Ren walked down the halls he saw Nora and Kobalt going into their dorm room. The same feeling came back. Why did he feel this way? He was broke from his thoughts when a voice said his name, it was Ruby, "Hey Ren, you okay?" Ren gave a smile, "Hey Ruby, I just feel tired." The silver eyed girl rolled her eyes, "You're worried about Nora." The raven haired male sighed, "I always worry about her." This made Ruby smirk, "I mean honestly I see her getting with you, but love is crazy sometimes." Ren looked at her, "Love is always...Wait, what do you mean see her getting with me?"
"Are you fucking serious?"
"What are you talking about?"
Ruby bursts out laughing as she walked past Ren and faced him, "You at all curious why she's with someone else?" He never thought about it that way. He always saw Nora and him being friends, but he never thought about them being in love. He wish he knew her thoughts.

Nora kissed Kobalt gently and smiled at him, "I swear, sometimes Neon seems super jealous that I'm with you." The blue haired male laughed at her remark, "That's because she is, she craves every boys attention and if she can't get it she'll try harder, it'll escalate." Kobalt got rather close to Nora, almost too close. She couldn't help but feel like he was after something, "Hey move, I'm gonna be up against the wall of you get any closer." She giggled at him. He smirked and held her, "Isn't that what you want, why else would you drag me into your dorm room alone?" Nora wasn't sure what to do as Kobalt had her against the wall. The energetic girl had a feeling of dread.

Ren and Ruby stood there in silence. It almost seemed like the whole conversation went nowhere. Ren finally broke the silence, "So you're saying Nora is only with Kobalt because she wants to make me jealous?" Ruby groans loudly, "That's what I've been trying to tell you for about," Ruby pulls out her scroll, "Holy shit, it's been an hour and they're still in the dorm together." Ren didn't like the thought of this. Ruby headed out knowing Ren should take care of it. As the male headed to the door Kobalt walked out. They locked eyes and Kobalt spoke first, "Hey, Ren right?" He forced a smile, "Yes." He tried to keep his voice calm. The blue haired boy smiled back, "Nora talks about you, a lot it seems." His smile disappears and he looks into the eyes of the black haired male, "Kobalt, if you want to keep her, you will be sure to treat her with respect, do I make myself clear?" He crossed his arms and the blue haired boy sighed, "Yeah." He shoulder checks him walking over to meet up with the rest of team FNKI. Something was off.

Nora was holding back sobs and hugging her knees to her chest with a blanket over her body. She went to the wash room and showered. As the water ran over her she finally sobbed. The orange haired girl knew what had happened would happen again if she stayed with him. She heard the door to the dorm room open then a knock, "Nora?" It was Ren. She wiped her eyes as best as she can, "Yeah Ren?" She shouts back trying to sound happy. He enters, "Are you okay?" She peaks out from the curtain and forced a smile, "Yep, I'm fine." Ren gave her a long look. It seemed like he was trying to read her face for her emotions. He shrugged it off, "Alright, just know I'm always here for you Nora." She nodded at him as he left. She frowned and finished her shower.
