Rose grabs him and pushes him against the car at super speed twisting his arm behind his back,
"I'm older than you and stronger don't get on my bad side," Rose said
She releases him
"You can trust me," Rose said
We enter the coffee shop,
"Whoa what about the sunlight?" Damon said
"Double paned and tempered UV rays can't penetrate you see the appeal now?" Rose said
"Cool," I said
"That and the free WI-Fi" I'm assuming is Slater
"Hey how are you?" Rose said
"Good I saw you come, what are you doing here?" Slater asked
"Mm, its a long story but I want you to meet..." Rose said
"Damon Slavatore turned 1864 I'm Mystic Falls by Katherine Pierce aka Katherine Petrova so I take it I was right what I told you about the tomb under the church was true, and who is this?" Slater said
"Yes, it was right thank you for the tip, and this is Sammie," Rose said
"It's nice to meet you maybe what's going on Rose? where's Trevor?" Slater said
"And you're sure Elijah's dead?" Slater asked
"Beyond dead," Damon said
"Trevor was a good man he helped me with my dissertation on sexual deviance in the Baroque period I was cooling for my Psych, PhD," Slater said
Slater's been in college since '74" Rose said
"Cool," I said
Slater smiled at me,
"When I was turned I have 18 degrees, 3 master's and 4 PhD's" Slater said
"The point," Damon said
"Exactly I man what is the point? what should I be doing with my eternity? if you have an answer please enlighten me," Slater said
"We need your help if someone wanted to get in touch with Klaus how would you hook him up?" Rose said
"Craigslist," Slater said
"Really?" Damon said annoyed
"Seriously I responded to a personal ad to get sent to somebody who knows somebody who knows Elijah who's dead and that's where my connection ends," Slater said
As we were talking my stomach was really bugging me, I was in my chair I leaned in at the table clutching my stomach with my arms trying to make it unnoticeable, Rose gave me a look, but I just shrugged,
"Here's what I don't get Elijah moved around during the day which means the originals knew the secret of the day ring now why would Klaus want to lift the curse of the sun and the moon," Damon asked
"To keep the werewolves from lifting it if a Vampire breaks the sun curse then the werewolves are stuck with the curse of the moon forever and vice versa," Slater said
"But werewolves are extinct," Rose said
"Ture I've never seen one but rumor has it.." Slater said
"Not such a rumor," Damon said
"Mystic Falls? God.. I've got to visit this place it sounds awesome," Slater said
I started to zone out then next thing I know is the widow is shattered everyone starts burning and screaming,
I stood in the middle of the coffee shop stunned I looked across the street to see Elijah, he waved at me, I just shyly waved back,
"Sammie!" I heard Damon
I looked in his direction,
"Lets go!" He said
I ran after him,
The ride back was quiet, once we got to the boarding house I decided I shouldn't stay,
"Sammie?" Damon said
I turned around,
"Is everything alright?" He asked
"I don't know what you mean?" I said
"The look on your face today, when everyone started screaming in pain," Damon said
"It was nothing.." I said
"It didn't seem like nothing to me," Damon said
"What I saw on your face wasn't just fear Sammie," Damon said
I just rolled my eyes,
"You were petrified," Damon said
"It was nothing," I said
I went to leave but Damon grabbed my wrist,
"You know you can talk to me right?" Damon said
I nodded,
"See you tomorrow," I said leaving
As I walked down the street my mind was somewhere else, I don't want to bring people into my mess of a life I'm sure they have more important stuff to deal with than me a little human whose life is worth nothing,
Damon POV
I watched as Sammie left the house, I kept my gaze on her back,
"She's a strong kid you know that," Rose said coming behind me,
"Yeah, I know but I just can't get the look on her face out of my head," I said
"She's hiding something, I don't know what, but something she can't talk to anyone about and I'm gonna get it out of her if it's the last thing I do," I said
"Don't tell me you're going to compel the poor girl," Rose said
"What no," I said
"She's hiding something and I'm gonna find out," I said taking a drink
