"Okay.. Let me process this.. You.. You and Lionel Messi are together?" My sister asks a little shocked
"Yeah," I say looking down
"What the actual fuck? Neymar.. Please.. Tell me you're kidding," Rafaella says covering her face with her hands
"Rafa.. I'm sorry.. I just.. I can't help it. I fell in love with him,"
"Neymar.. Gosh.. I don't want you to think that I don't support you. You're going to be my brother no Matter what. But .. This is crazy.. What will happen when people find out ? "
"They won't," I sigh
"So you're saying that you don't plan on ever coming out ?"
"This will ruin everything. Lionel Messi is the best player in the world.. I can't do this to his career," I groan
"Hey.. Ney.. I know. But listen.. This is going to eat you up soon.. You're not just putting Lionel's career in danger but also yours. You have a bright future ahead of you. This is unhealthy.. You need to choose,"
"Between my career and Leo?" I asks almost not believing what she's telling me
"Listen.. It's hard. I know. But how do you expect to be with this man forever if you never plan on coming out. Someone is going to find out sooner or later,"
"It's not like we won't be careful," I pout sadly
"I know. But people aren't stupid. Trust me. You can either break it off with him or just come clean. It's not like you expect to spend the rest of your life with him right? And if you do .. Then it's better to let everyone know," she smiles warmly at me
"It's not their business though,"
"When you're famous.. Everything you do is everyone's business. You took a shit? Oh god.. The famous Neymar Da Silva Jr took a shit y'all, the world is ending,"
I laugh bitterly at it. She speaks the truth. I can't hide from the world. I need to make a decision and soon.
"Fuck, I love him. It's gonna hurt to let him go," I groan as the tears fall freely from my eyes down my cheeks
"Hey.. You can always come out if you feel like he's worth it. You don't necessarily have to tell everyone that you're with him yet. Take small steps," she smiles and holds my hand tightly
"But it's the fact that I'm gay that will make everyone hate me.. Dating lionel Messi is just a huge plus that gets him involved. I can't do that to him.. It's both our careers that I would be putting on the line,"
"I'll always be here for you, brother. I know this hurts. But sometimes we need to act a little grown and make wise decisions," she pulls me into a hug
I cry freely in her arms. She's warm and full of love. I don't think that I'll be able to go through this without hurting both of us in the process. Leo and I, we are doomed no matter what my choice is. Something bad will come from either things. I'd rather not him lose everything he's worked so hard for.

"I'm home!" Leo shouts happily
He's been out grocery shopping. I'm terrible at those things so he does them.
"Hey.. Ney.. What's wrong?" He asks
"Leo.. We need to talk.."
Right now I don't know what i should do. I could tell him that I wanna come out. Maybe he'll Agree and we can live happily without having to hide from anyone. After all, love is love right? They can't punish us for being in love. That wouldn't be fair.
"Leo.. I.. I think we should," I swallow hard
Leo.. We should come out. We should love each other freely. We should let the world know how in love with are. We should just be happy and forget everyone and everything that stands in our way.
"I think we should break up," I whisper
Please don't look at me like that. Leo, don't cry. Come, I'll hold you. Don't cry.
"I don't love you anymore,"

"O-oh," he sobs quietly

I just stand there. I can't move. Fuck.
"Fuck!!" I scream
I'm such an idiot. But it's for the best. He's going to be so happy. He's gonna do so many great things. He's Lionel Messi. He's going to be amazing even at the age of 60.
"I'm sorry," I whisper slowly as I walk to the door.
