As the sun dipped lower after the short winter day Janus sighed gently to himself as he stretched out on his heating rock, wrapping himself tighter in his cloak.
Even though the heater was going at full blast, he felt extremely cold, due to his cold blooded nature, and was having a hard time warming himself up.
With a click, the power shut off as the snow picked up outside, causing Janus to feel a bone chilling cold as his heating rock started to cool.
"Ah shit..", he shivered, wrapping a blanket around himself with a soft hiss.
Meanwhile, Patton quickly rushed throughout the shared house, checking in on everyone and supplying weighted blankets, water, snacks, and lights of all sorts.
Soon reaching the snake's room, he knocked on the door gently. "Jan..?", the loveable Patton called before receiving a light hiss in response. "Jan...May I come in?" This question was net with a soft 'yes' from the snake man.
Patton opened the door slowly with his usual bright grin, a small tote under his arm as he walked in.
"You feeling alright..?" The moral side asked, tilting his head to the side with an adorable smile on his face.
Jnaus shook his head and mumbled from under the blanket, causing Patton to only hear the last two words. "...Very cold..."
Patton nodded and started to rummage through the tote, pulling out a few waited blankets and some water before sitting down next to the shivering man and wrapping them both in the blankets.
The two sides quickly curled around one another like wrestling snakes, just trying to find some sort of warm during the cold winter night.
"Patton..?" The snake said gently, shivering as he looked up at the moral trait. Patton looked down at the shorter side, tilting his head and running his hands through the male's hair in a calming manner. "Yes Jan?"
Janus gave a light hiss of delight, smiling gently as he melted into the males touch. "I dont have something to confess to you." He added gently before giving a light sigh and closing his bi colored eyes.
"I hate you Patton...I...don't want to spend the rest of my life with you..." He confessed, a light blush covering the human side of his face.
Patton looked at the trait in his arms and blushed darkly, shaking his head. "Really?" He asked, causing Janus to nod and hide his face in Patton's chest.
Patton gave a light chuckle and held the snake to his chest. "Well, Jan...To he honest..I feel the same way." He replied with a soft hum as he yawned gently.
This caused Janus to sit up, his eyes shooting open. "You do?!" He stammered, gently biting his lip as Patton gave a nod.
"This is the worst!" He grinned, shaking his head and hugging the moral side happily.
After going back and forth on how they both wanted to shape the relationship, they soon fell into a deep and peaceful sleep.
Waking up, Patton grumbled as two sharp knocks sounded at the door, signaling that Logan was on the other side.
"Janus, Patton...The power is back on." Logic said gently before the click of his polished shoes slowly faded away, leaving Morality and Deceit alone with each other and their thoughts.
