"Hey Cass," a voice says. I turn around and see my best friend Caitlyn walking towards me.
"Hey Caitlyn." I wave to her sighing.
"Whats wrong? Is it your crappy mom again? I swear to God, that bitch can't ever keep her mouth shut." She scoffs. "Tell me about it," I say. "She reminded me that the Irwins were moving in next door, which I already knew about, but she didn't listen when I told her about them. Typical mom."
A black van rolled up to the front of the school. The door opens, and out comes the new kid with honey brown curls touching his forehead and a red bandana. He wore a "blink-182" shirt and black skinny jeans. I could already tell what certain bands he liked. Its like I could read him by just looking at him. I found myself staring at him, with a expressionless face, at his tan muscular arms and little facial hair.
"Casandra, is that the new kid? He looks really attractive. Hey, I'm talking to you,"
I snapped out of my trance and blushed when he looked at me.
"Um, yep. He's the Irwin kid next door. I think he has a little brother and sister, too." I say nodding.
"Do you think.. he'll like me?" Caitlyn asks.
"Are you fucking serious? Ugh, I can't believe you Caitlyn! I don't know, will he? With your crappy music taste and bright clothes, mmm.. don't think so!" I shout, a little too loud. Everyones attention is on our situation and theres a short silence until I say - "What? Didn't you people ever learn to M.Y.O.B?" I scoff. "Your all the same." I say walking away and past the new kid who eyes me with his mouth open.
I look up at him and he turns a bit red, but I smile, as a note that I won't yell at him. He gives me a small smile as I walk to the back entrance of the school. I kinda wanna get to know him. But that would be weird.. like, rebellious and innocent sitting in a tree.
