Cross got up on a day like any other.   Shower, get dressed, all of that. But something seemed off. Where was Error? He was normally here! Cross went through a panic, rushing out the door. "Error! Error?!" He looked around, searching everywhere. He soon contacted some professionals and they got there. They all searched, but came back empty handed. Well, almost. They appeared to had found one of Error's flip-flops. Cross was in complete shock. Error had gone missing. That night, he couldn't sleep. Maybe that's why he could hear shuffling in the bushes. Chara had always complained someone was out there. Cross would check and see nothing. But tonight, Cross was going to find whatever was outside. He stepped out of his room, grabbing a flashlight. He opened his front door. It creaked, as Cross stepped out. He heard more vigorous shuffling. He approached the bushes, opening them up. It was just a chicken. Phew. Cross was about to go back inside, but he felt some other presence watching over him. He teleported onto the roof. What was left was a small, circular pin. For a shirt or jacket. It was a set of colors, with an eye in the middle. He shrugged, putting it in his pocket. He teleported back inside his house, forgetting the door. He laid down in his bed, slowly drifting to sleep.
Cross's dreams tended to be either memories, darkness, or bright, vibrant colors. This dream was a memory. The memory of his skull being damaged by none other than... Wait, who was it again? He could feel the pain still. Until he felt the sharp, gooey parasite arms have a firm grip on his socket. He awoke in a cold sweat, hearing his front door slam shut. He immediately got up, looking around. He noticed a note on the counter.
"Bring the pin to the Deep Green Forest. You will be rewarded."
Signed,
There wasn't a name. Cross took the pin out of his pocket. Looking at it reminded him of something. Someone had wore this pin years ago. He couldn't think of who, though. He took the pin and note, traveling to the Deep Green Forest. He turned on his flashlight. The light illuminated, but not a lot. The darkness of the forest made Cross even more uneasy. Why this forest? He hated this place. His thoughts were halted by a cloaked figure appearing. "Hey, hey, X-Out." Cross shrieked, turning. "O-Oh, heya? Is this yours?" He gave the pin to the figure. Their golden tooth glimmered in the forest's darkness. "Thank y', Crossy. By the by... I think you should try refreshing your memory! Who knows what you've forgotten?" The figure disappeared before Cross could respond. He sighed, slowly walking back home. He eventually laid on his bed, feeling himself fall into a deep sleep. Cross fell asleep.
...This dream was of a machinery. A small device. It had a black and green rim. Cross turned it on, the holographic light filling his mind. It buzzed and spat then whirred to life. Cross scrolled through it. He didn't know why, but he knew. How could he, though? Cross didn't think much of it, continuing to scroll through it. He felt the pressure of a million lives. Like he had to do this one thing. He found what he was looking for.

Cross then woke up in the Deep Green Forest in broad daylight. There was an old looking watch on the grass. Cross grabbed it, slapping it on. He tapped a button, a small holographic screen showing. He messed with it. The screen whirred, and a small document opened. Cross curiously opened it. The document held many tabs on many people.

Cross wasn't sure what this meant, besides the fact some sort of plan was being made against him and his friends and other. He was then shot by a thought. The color purple. The color burned in his mind. Cross ran back to his house, thinking he saw the place blowing up, and he ran back into the forest, in a panic. He felt something crawl up his spine. Familiarity spilled through his body. Cross then remembered something else. That pin belonged to someone he hated, that much he knew. But who? He turned around. Did he hear something? "Hello...?" He called out in the forest. Wait, where was he? Oh, no, he was lost! Cross became to run. "Hello?! Anybody?! Help!" He shouted, until slowing down upon finding an oddly shaped tree. Its proportions were extraordinary. Cross tried to touch the tree, but found that his hand went through. Cross's sight grew worse and worse. He squinted, drooling. He became paralyzed. "What... Hahh.... Hehehehehehehehehe..."
Cross woke up, but not fully. His body was paralyzed head to toe. His room door was opened. The hallway had a figure manifest. Looked like a silhouette of another skeleton, with tentacles seeping out from the orifices. Cross stared at it, unable to move. He tightly shut his eyes, hoping it'd go away. Cross opened his eyes.
Oh, God, it got closer. It loomed over his bed, staring him down. Cross had wondered if it were real. The thought terrified him. He soon grew the ability to move. He got up, attempting to touch the silhouette. He felt the cold bone on his hand. Cross panicked, breathing heavy. "Who... Who are you? G-Get out.." Cross stammered, unsure of who the figure was. The figure smiled, reaching out to Cross. They did not speak, merely moving. The figure slammed Cross onto the floor, knocking him out. The slam was not heard. The figure then snuck out the window.
