— You continued the road with Seonghwa to the north kingdom
The path took a few days but you set a "camp" when night came
"Ok we will set it here" you told Seonghwa and you both started to set in
You were on the side of the road sitting facing each other in front of a small fire to keep yourself warm
"Y/n?" Seonghwa called
"Yes my king" you said not interested on what he was going to say
"Haha first I ain't the king yet and second I wanna get to know you so pleas just call me Seonghwa or anything else expect "king" you don't know why but his comment just made you smiled
"You know, is really pretty" Seonghwa said
"W-what?" You asked a bit startled
"The necklace you keep staring every night, a hummingbird, the person that gave it to you must care about you"
"It's nothing"
"Really?" He said with a chuckle "Well some people believe hummingbirds represent adaptability, independence, resilience"
"But my father once told me that they represent joy, playfulness, optimism they may be small but they are fast and skillful" Seonghwa said smiling at you
"My best friend gave it to me"
"We grew up together, both our parents were guards and best friends, they would always search for justice for the people in the town to the point it took their lives away during battle so he is the only person I have left, he is like a real brother to me "
"Well I think it suits you, he knows you better than anyone else so I'm sure the hummingbird has its meaning" he said trying to lighten the mood
You both laugh "Now tell me something about you, you said you wanted to get to know me, but I don't think is fair if I don't know anything about you" you told him getting closer to him
"Hehe well my name is Seonghwa, kind of like Olympic torch but with the Chinese characters seong as in star and hwa as in to become, my mom loved the stars so that is why she named me Seonghwa"
"Your mom as in the queen?"
"I mean mom as in my real mom.......I don't have that many memories of my parents or what happen to them but the one that I remember the most is me and my parents we are sitting on the grass looking at the stars"he said with a bitter smile
"When I was little I grew up in the streets, obviously survived thanks to the town until I turned 7 that is when the king welcomed me, he loves to be in talk with his town so he found out about me and took me to the castle and later became the captain of the guard, I just wanted to repay everyone in the town for basically keeping me alive"
