After that canteen accident, my life became miserable in school. Nandiyan iyong ivavandalize nila ang locker ko, lalagyan ng basura ang bag ko or bubutasin ang gulong ng bike ko but that's okay as long as it is not my books. My books are my everything. Nakipagsiksikan ulit ako sa cafeteria, wala si Amanda dahil may emergency sa bahay, manganganak na ang ate niya kaya after the first period ay umuwi na siya.

Usap-usapan ngayon ang mangyayaring coronation sa bagong Alpha bukas, kaya nakahinga ako ngayon sa bullying dahil abala ang lahat, lalo na ang mga babae, sa kung paano nila pagagandahin ang sarili nila in case they're the Alpha's mate. While me, I'm gonna read a book that I bought last week sa isang matandang bookshop along the way. It has a weird title and a weird story plot.

I almost laugh, Taylor is our favorite singer and knowing Amanda, siya ang nag-insist na magpangalan sa baby. I'm glad na he's a beta, mostly of the new born pups na lalaki ay nagiging beta, while girls are omega. How do we know? By the mark. Since birth, we have a mark on our neck that corresponds to our rank. Beta being the second, while omega is the last. Hindi magkakaroon ng Alpha mark ang isang pup unless one of the parents is an Alpha, or meaning you're from a bloodline of Alphas. Only one Alpha will be choosen to rule the pack, the firstborn, disregarding the gender. That's how our election is.

Couple of minutes later, natapos na ang lunch period kaya nagsiuwian na ang lahat. Inannounce kasi na half-day ngayon because tomorrow is the big day for them. Dumiretso na ako sa bike ko, only to find out that it's flat again. So I decided to walk my bike. Ugh!

"Bro, are you nervous?" tanong sa akin ni Dalton habang nakaupo sa couch na nasa kwarto ko. Si Elton naman ay nakahiga sa carpet, playing jigsaw puzzle while Peter is talking to someone in the phone.

"Of course. Who wouldn't? I'm gonna be an Alpha and gonna find my mate. Two big responsibility when you turn 18." I sigh. Being an 18 years old is normal if you're not the head beta or an omega. Hindi ka magkakaroon ng malaking responsibility na patakbuhin ang isang napakalaking pack. Good thing, I'll have my mate to help me.

"I'm proud of you bro, maghintay ka lang ng isang buwan, ako na ang magiging beta mo." Dalton will be my beta since he's the firstborn of our head beta while Peter will be the head warrior. After the death of our head warrior, the second in command takes the place which is the father of Peter. Mga bata pa lang kami ay tinururuan na kami kung paano magpatakbo ng pack but we do have a beautiful childhood.

"No more chics, no more condoms." tumawa kami sa sinabi ni Peter na ngayon ay ginugulo na si Elton sa baba.

"Yeah bro. It's sad." sagot naman ni Dalton. Hindi na lang ako nagsalita at napailing na lamang. Tomorrow is a big day. A very big day for me.

Nagising ako sa ingay ng mga sasakyan sa labas. I cursed the sounds, I was dreaming that I'm in the mansion of Taylor Swift at kasama siyang gumagawa ng kanta and then boom! Some cars ruined my supposed to be first single. Ugh.

"C, sumunod ka sa pack house mamayang hapon for the coronation. Walang tatakas!" I heard my mom shout downstairs. Damn. We have mind link mom! Use it.

Dumiretso ako sa banyo at nagsipilyo at hilamos bago bumaba. It's 11 A.M and the coronation will be at 3 P.M so I have 4 hours. Kinain ko na ang brunch na hinanda ni mama sa akin at nagbasa. Once I got bored, nagmarathon ako ng Harry Potter, and at 2:30 PM, nakapagbihis na ako at hinihintay na lang si Amanda. She demanded na sabay kaming pupunta sa pack house and I don't have choice.

And on time, the doorbell ring. Binuksan ko ang pintuan to find a very colorful canvass in front of me. Amanda is a walking rainbow.

"What the freak are you wearing?" tanong ko.

"I have a feeling na magiging akma ito sa mangyayari mamaya." hinila na niya ako palabas, nilakad na lang namin since it's 30 minutes early.

Pagkarating namin sa pack house ay malapit na magsimula kaya puno na ang harapan ng stage. May make shift stage na nakatayo sa harapan ng pack house, may balloons and cupcakes, parang may local band na magcoconcert or may pulitikong magmemeeting de avance. I sniff the air at parang gusto kong masuka because of different perfumes, minsan disadvantage din maging werewolves. All the girls arw excited, pwera kay Amanda syempre because this girl is a freak like me. I even saw the Queen B, taking selfies and pictures with her bee army. Hinila ko na lang si Amanda sa may swing, may kalayuan sa stage pero kita naman. Umupo kami at inilabas na namin ang aming sandata, mine is book while Amanda is a sketch pad and pencil.

At exactly 3 PM, the coronation start. Nagpakilala ang dating Alpha at nagpasalamat sa mga head, I even saw my mom at the stage together with the other heads. The coronation is just an announcement for the next Alpha pero ang official na pag-upo nito is when he's 20 years old.

Nagpalakpakan ang lahat at pinakilala na si Raiver. I heard the girls gasp and squeal because of the sight. Raiver is wearing a white three piece suit with a red bow-tie. His beard makes him looks like a grown man. Ngumiti siya sa mga nasa harap and I heard the dreamy sigh from the girls. I roll my eyes and continue reading.

Tinawag na ako sa stage kaya kinakabahang umakyat at pumwesto sa tabi ni Dad. I smile to the audience and I almost laugh because I heard 'awws' from the audience, mostly girls.

"Please welcome my son, the next Alpha, Raiver Stanford Sarvente." pakilala sa akin ni Dad. I made a small speech and proceed to the main event.

"Son, goodluck." my dad hugs me. Sinundan naman siya ni mom at bumulong din.

"No matter who she is, accept her, okay?" I nodded then proceed to the ritual.

I close my eyes and feel my wolf. Pinakiramdaman ko ang enerhiyang nagmumula dito, biglang tumahimik ang lahat. I can feel my senses heightened, I heard the birds chirping, the breathing of every person here. I became one with the nature. The moment I open my eyes, I can feel the change of colors of my pupil. Inamoy ko ang hangin, only to smell the most amazing scent I encountered. Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko at sinundan ang amoy. I jump at the stage at tinakbo ang pinagmumulan ng amoy. Humahawi ang mga tao sa dadaanan ko. Until mapunta ako sa playground. Lumakas ang amoy kaya tinawid ko ang fence na nakaharang, dinala ako ng pang-amoy ko sa dalawang taong nasa swing. The girl look at me and she gasped, that's not her kaya ibinaling ko ang tingin ko sa katabi nito. It's a boy. He look up and our eyes meet. My heart beats faster than it's normal and sniff the scent.

"MINE." I growl and heard a collective gasp.

That's when I realize something, my mate is freaking boy and it's none other than..
