the cat had been rolled onto the grass and the ground, causing his white fur to be tinted of green and brown stains. plus, his many cuts that had started to heal had been reopened for some.

"it's okay, you didn't know. don't worry." mark smiled to the boy.

the cat weakly meowed in mark's arms alarming the two boys.

"i should check his wounds." mark said.

"how can i repay you?" jisung asked, putting his hand on mark's arm.

mark shook his head. "you don't ne- "he stopped mid-sentence to think. he had tried looking a bit further about the origin of hybrids, but he had found none. he hadn't found anything good enough about it. but maybe this boy could help. "how did you say your dogs were named again?"

"jupiter and neptune, why?"

"aren't they greek gods?" mark raised a brow. one of the possible origins he had found was the mythology.

"well... zeus and poseidon are their greek names. but in the roman mythology they are called jupiter and neptune. but they are basically the same persons. just different names."

"you seem to know a lot of things about that..." mark said with a smirk.

jisung smiled shyly. "i won a contest when i was younger. it's a subject i'd like to teach when i'll be older. or maybe make researches."

"you can repay me by coming to my house tomorrow at 5:00pm and telling me all you know on hybrids in the mythologies." mark said simply.

"hybrids?" jisung raised a brow. "like the cars? or the creatures?"

"all you know!" mark yelled as he was already in front of his door.

"donghyuck, i'm sorry, but you need to shower."

"i. do. not. want. to." donghyuck said sternly.

mark and donghyuck were face to face, locked in the bathroom, and mark was standing in front of the door so that the cat-person wouldn't escape.

mark had decided he would make donghyuck take a shower before disinfecting his wounds because it would be easier, but it seems like donghyuck didn't want.

"and why didn't you bathe me in my cat form?"

"because you always scratch me." mark said.

"yeah, well, i hate showers and baths and water in general."

"too bad, you'll have one." mark said, opening the tap. "strip."

"w-what?" donghyuck blushed. "no!"

"quickly or i'll do it myself."

and that's how donghyuck ended sitting in the bathtub in only a pair of mark's boxers, with the older standing next to the bathtub, the showerhead and the soap in his hand.

donghyuck would giggle at the feeling of mark's hands roaming around his body to clean him. it was better than licking his own paw and rubbing it over his body, he had to admit it. he would definitely take more baths if it meant mark would take care of him like this.

"can i use your shampoo?" donghyuck asked with puppy eyes.

mark nodded before putting a good amount of it in his hand and rubbing the cat hybrid's head, being careful not to hurt his ears.

"ahhh! i have some in my eyes!" donghyuck whined after an instant.

"crybaby..." mark chuckled before rinsing everything and rubbing donghyuck's eyes. "better?" he asked.

donghyuck opened his eyes, surprised to see mark this close to his face.

the cat-hybrid blushed before nodding.

"good. now, let's get out." mark said.

donghyuck made grabby hands, asking mark to carry him. mark sighed before pulling him up, not minding if he had soaked his own clothes. "you are a cute big baby, you know that?"

donghyuck only smiled brightly, his two fangs showing cutely, making mark melt.

mark coughed when he realised what he was thinking about. "let's get you dried." he told quickly. "and then i'll clean your wounds."

the cat nodded, surprised by the sudden coldness from the older.

"wait a second, i'll go and grab you some clothes." mark added before leaving the room.

what was he thinking?

how could this thing be cute?

first things first, he wasn't even human.

second, mark wasn't gay.

and third, there was hina. yes hina. mark liked hina. or did he?

everything was a mess in mark's mind... and once again, it was all donghyuck's fault. why was he this cute?
