Eventually, they all got in the property's garden. They walked for a few seconds before standing in front of the house.

Then a light turned on.

"Shit!"

"Go, go, go, go!" urged John B, pushing them away behind the bushes.

"Flashlights!" warned Kie.

"It's on strobe!" muttered JJ.

"Shh!"

They stayed silent for a moment, panting.

"Okay," resumed Pope, breathless. "So she has motion sensor lights."

"Why didn't we notice when we sneaked in the first time?" asked Isis, her heart racing because of the fear.

"I don't know, maybe-- maybe it's on only at night," shrugged John B.

"We could, uh... move really slowly, maybe?" proposed JJ.

"What?" frowned Sarah.

"Yeah, but no, that's not how it works," replied Pope.

"Oh, shit! Let's throw a rock at it!"

"What?" scoffed Pope in a high-pitched voice.

"Yeah, that's a really good idea," jeered Kie. "Let the axe murderer know that we're here."

"JB, are you sick or just stupid??" asked Isis, putting her hand on her friend's forehead with a worried face.

He snatched her hand away. "You have a better idea??"

"Literally anything but that," replied Kiara.

"What about the breaker?" asked Sarah. "In the circuit box on the porch. We used to play hide-and-seek here as kids. And if we were brave enough, we'd go all the way up to the porch. I've seen it."

"That means you were one of the bravest?" smiled Isis.

Sarah scoffed. "Who do you think I am?"
