Mia
This is just a roadblock, I keep telling myself as I struggle to finish my school work, there will be many more opportunities to see him. But no matter how much I try to convince myself, it's no use, I want to see him now, I'll do anything to see his smiling face and to feel his arms around my waist or to hear him say 'I love you Mia' as he leans in to kiss me...
The ringing of my phone interrupts my thoughts. I put my workbook down, half complete, and pick my phone up to see my mom's picture up on the screen.
"Hey, mom, what's up?", I say struggling to put my school work back into my bag with only one hand.
"Oh nothing much sweetie, I'm wondering if you need anything from the store, I'm gonna stop by on the way home"
I think for a moment "No I'm good mom",
"Ok honey, I'll be home in about 20 minutes, love you",
"Ok, love you too, mom, see you in a bit" and with that I hang up.
Getting up from my spot on the couch, I decide not to finish my schoolwork until later, so I text Josh.
