THE sun was appearing without shyness and was spreading its hot light through this morning's incredible blue sky, my eyelashes gently touching my cheeks while I feel the heat shower my skin, my body was relaxed on the upholstered and reclined garden chair. I smiled a little, drowned in the peace that I created and that I know that will only last a few minutes. My mind tries to block the happy and high screams coming from Phoebe and Daisy while my mom - a bit far away -, was scolding them to stop running.

"Mom, make them stop!" Félicité grumbles beside me and I smile, opening my eyes.

My mom was sitting in front of me, on the other side of the big white glass table, holding Ernest on her lap while her feline gaze was on the twins that were playing totally forgotten of the world. The table was big enough for everyone of my family and Harry's family to sit on. Desmond called yesterday in the middle of the afternoon and booked a last minute lunch in the Styles mansion.

Lottie was smiling to the screen of her phone while Fizzy was eating grapes, grumpy on my side. Anne seemed to be having a fun conversation with Doris that, surprisingly, seemed to understand the Matriarch Styles; Daniel and Des were talking about football on the back, close to the barbecue grill. Harry was a bit forward talking on his phone and I can't see Gemma around...

"Darling, hold Ernie while I go get the girls, yeah?" My mom says, getting up and coming to hand me the white creature with giant blue eyes. I smile while I grab the little 9 month old that was looking to the sides with a hand in his mouth.

"Yeah, mom. Hi, Ernie!" I smile, putting him in a sitting position on my legs with him facing me.

"How they grew up so fast!" Anne says, sitting on my side with Doris, that stretches her little arms trying to grab her brother.

"Yes, actually all of them grew up so fast." I say kindly. "Lottie has already sixteen smiling all silly to her phone, Félicité with twelve and soon she'll reach her sister's phase; and the twins are eight and elvish." I smile looking at each one of them. "Mom is getting crazy at home, she told me."

"When I had Harry, Gemma was four years old already. She was jealous at the beginning, she cried for everything." Anne smiles. "But then, she became protective, I think she understood that she was an older sister."

I look at the green eyes of the woman in front of me, smiling weakly. She was incredibly similar to her kids, or in the case, her kids were incredibly similar to her. The smile with always a bit crooked in the mouth of flashy pink thin lips, the eyes with an unique colour that captivate by themselves anyone.

"Daisy, stop for a while or you're going to fall!" My mom scolded.

"Daisy, stop." Dan commanded, smiling to the little one. "You'll hurt yourself and you'll have to go to the hospital, do you want to go to the hospital?" Dan asks and Daisy shakes her head, smiling. "Good."

"How was it for you?" Anne calls for my attention.

"Hm?" I look at her, confused.

"How was the divorce to you? I know that Mark wasn't your biologic father, but it was by heart."

"Well..." I start slowly. "I still talk to Mark, I carry his last name with a lot of pride and he's my dad. The divorce wasn't troubled, Jay sat with me and talked before the girls because I'm the oldest. I would be lying if I say I wasn't sad, but I had to understand that her life continued. They're still friends and, wanting or not, they have the biggest connection someone could have that is having kids. Daniel is a cool guy, he treats the girls in the same way he treats Ernie and Doris."

"Harry would not cope very well with a possible separation from me or a new boyfriend." Anne laughs. "He can keep certain bitterness of Des, but he loves his dad, wanting or not."
