Chapter Three (MATURE)

Nothing was said. Lucifer was silent for a long moment. There was no way she could be alive. Simeon wasn't the one to falsify information, yet here she was. "..... Zara."

"What's with the expression?" She asked with a soft smile. "You act as if you've seen a ghost." His emotions began to take over, rushing towards her and pulling her into a hug. "Oof! Miss me?" There was nothing said, but he held her close, embracing her tightly. A hand held her back, the other sliding through her hair, holding her head with tenderness.

"You've been gone for so long... I've missed you so much. I felt selfish for trying to forget. I thought the pain of missing you would be pushed away if I tried to forget... I never fully could," he admitted. Neither of them spoke, Lucifer holding her close. Though he noticed she did not return the embrace, nor did she respond. Slowly, he pushed away, looking down into her green orbs.

"Is something wrong?" She questioned, acting as if they had not been apart for centuries.

"I..." He comported himself, looking at her. "I am truly sorry, I got carried away."

"Do you wish for me to show affection?" Zara asked, smiling, having a small smirk.

"-!" This shocked Lucifer, a hand going over his heart. Why ask such a question? Though, he noticed her smirk, realizing why she lacked compassion. "My brothers are not around, there is no need to hide such emotions."

"Your friend is still there," She motioned to Kiyomi, who eeped in embarrassment. Perhaps she overstayed her welcome.

"Sorry! I'll head out! You enjoy yourselves!" She quickly sprinted out the room.

"How did she find you?" He asked.

"It's.. a long story really..." She said softly, wrapping her arms around his neck. "A story for another day.." Her eyes met his. Lucifer's hands grabbed her ass, lifting her up, soon capturing his lips with hers. A soft noise escaped her, but returned the tender kiss. Before long, it grew deeper, intense even. Her hands ran through his hair, his hands holding onto her bottom tighter. Finally, they had to part for air, Zara looking down at him with a soft smile, panting ever so lightly. "I've missed you.."

"I have too.." He responded and placed her down. "Where have you been? How are you here? Simeon informed me of your passing."

"Oh, well, I do not know how I am here actually. That part is still a mystery to me as well. I remember crashing and the intense pain before nothing. Then before I knew it, I was born again, to a family of demons. My memory gradually returned, but large chunks are still missing. I do not recall what happened after.." She trailed off momentarily, "after.. Lilith fell.. It's a blurr but I recall moments before my death. I informed my family about it and they too are clueless but believe me. So, I have a whole new family and I understand the concept even more now." She clapped her hands together excitedly. "I've learned so much and I was even blessed enough to study on Earth, in the human realm. I was gone for a long time actually, decades. I wanted to see how things changed and developed."

"So you've been here and in the human realm this whole time?"

"Mhm! It has been quite the experience as I learn new knowledge from both realms. I've only recently recalled my memories of you, perhaps in the past couple years. I did not dare approach you, assuming you have moved on. Why bring back old memories? But it seems you would have done well with my presence... I apologise..."

"There's no need to apologise..." He grabbed her hand, kissing it gently. "You have returned... I kept our relationship secret back then.. It was selfish of me, you deserve to be acknowledged and not hidden. I want everyone to know you are mine, if you agree." Zara began to laugh softly and shook her head
