Four years. Four damn years of your life thrown away in the blink of an eye. Your cozy little life hadn't prepared you for this; the throbbing pain in your heart that sucks your soul and makes you feel like a battered zombie.

A broken heart, a sorrow you're experiencing for the first time in your life.

"It can't go on like this, Y/n," he sighed, looking you straight in the eyes. "I don't love you anymore."

You would have preferred him cheating or lying, but not this. Your first love—your soulmate feels nothing for you anymore. You're indifferent to him, and living life without you seems like the best idea. How could you not feel pathetic after that?

It's funny how that cardiologist managed to induce a heart condition in me with a few words. God, being heartbroken is the worst.

Warning: For those who have read my other books, you certainly know that sad endings are to my liking 🫣... so, I don't guarantee a beautiful reunion at the end!
