And it's not his responsibility to comfort me though. Nagkakataon lang na siya ang nandyan palagi kahit hindi ko kailangan.

"You deserve to be loved. Siguro hindi si Chesca o ako ang makakapagbigay sa'yo no'n. Maybe someone's waiting for you."

"Yeah. Sana nga magawa ko pang magmahal pagkatapos ng lahat. I don't think I can be with someone again after all what happened from the past and then now. My heart's starting to shatter again."

I pouted and then messed his hair. Tumawa ito saka ako niyakap ulit.

"Basta kapag sinaktan ka ulit ni Joaquin, hinding-hindi na kita ipapaubaya sa kanya. I can give you the world if he'll try hurting you again."

I nodded and then stood up. We went back to our room and then I slept beside Theo. Pinanindigan niyang sa couch siya matutulog kahit na medyo hindi siya kasya roon.

Kinabukasan ay maaga akong nagising. I prepared the balloons and then the chocolate cake. The sun is already shining yet Theo's still asleep.

Nang maayos na namin ang lahat ay saka ko ito ginising. Mavy held the camera for us and then took a video of everything.

Inilapit niya iyon sa amin nang tuluyang naimulat na ng anak ko ang mga mata niya.

"Happy Birthday Theo! Come. Mama prepared something for you!"

"What is it Mama? Hey Tito Dad! Why don't you join us?"

"Nah. I'll film you two."

Kinusot niya ang mata saka ko binuhat. I opened the box of chocolate cake and then let his eyes feast on it. Mavy took a video of it also.

Theo then kissed my cheek and then hugged me. Niyakap ko siya pabalik at hinayaang makababa para masilayan ng buo iyong cake.

"Thank you, Mama!"

I leveled my head on his and then took out from the box his favorite chocolate cake. Sinindihan ko iyong kandila saka itinusok roon.

"What's my baby's wish?"

Sandali itong nag-isip. His finger's on his chin. We waited as I pinched his cute cheek and then Mavy took a picture of us using his own phone. Siya ang videographer namin.

And he's the one who's always taking a video every Theo's birthday. Mula noong nag-isang taon ito, siya na ang kumukuha ng video. I kept it and then reviewing it everytime I want to watch every moment of it.

Saka, kasama na rin doon ang plano kong ipakita iyon lahat kay Joaquin sa susunod. Ayoko rin namang ipagkait iyon sa kanya.

"I wish that I can meet my Papa so that we will be a happy family forever."

He blew the candle and then clapped his hands. Napatingin ako kay Mavy pero tinanguan niya lang ako, sumasang-ayon sa naging hiling ng anak ko.

If wishing one thing is just an easy thing, then why is it hard for me to fulfill? Bakit kahit naririnig ko pa lang ay nahihirapan na ako? His father is here with us, on the same place and we're breathing the same air. Kahit na ganoon ay ako mismo ang hindi alam kung matutupad ba iyon?

Iyon ang naging plano ko pero hindi natuloy. Siguro kung hindi lang nangyari iyong kagabi, malamang kasama na namin si Joaquin ngayon. We're celebrating happily.

I smiled and then took a slice of cake for him. Sinubukan ko ring kumain kahit na mayroong bumabagabag sa isipan ko.

"Don't think too much. Save that for another day. Theo might see it."
