Chapter 2

Archies POV

"Don't you guys agree?" I looked across the table at Betty and Jughead who were sitting with me at a table near the football field.

Jughead chuckled "do we agree that the raven haired princess is good looking? Yeah sure, but nice, I wouldn't go that far we don't even know her and didn't you see how quickly she accepted Reggies help?" He said as he took another bite of his burger.

I shook my head at his response "dude I know Reggie is a jerk but how is she expected to know that on her first day. I think we should give her a chance" I looked across at Betty "Betty help me out here"

Betty nodded "I agree with you Arch but I also agree with Jughead" I looked back at Jughead who was smirking "Don't go there dude. Trust me" Jughead replied

"Hey guys can I sit?" I look up to see Veronica standing at the edge of the table and pray that she hadn't heard the conversation we were just having. I take a moment to look at her properly as Reggie had taken her away from everyone too quickly this morning. All her features were perfect, her mouth, eyes, nose everything about her I seemed to love. I must have been looking at her for too long because Betty had to answer for me "of course" she smiled at her.

I quickly looked away from her and moved across in my seat as she sat down next to me "I saw you guys in the student lounge this morning but I didn't catch your names?" Veronica smiled sweetly.

"I'm Archie. Archie Andrews and this Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper" I said, a smile curled onto my lips while not taking my eyes off her, I couldn't.

"And your the famous Veronica Lodge everyone seems the be talking about huh" Jughead said bluntly causing me to look at him quickly "dude" I said, I had no idea what Jugheads problem seemed to be with Veronica because he didn't even know her and she is the first girl I've liked, hell even looked at since my breakup with Valerie so he needed to cool it.

"It's ok Archie, I know I have a reputation back in New York but this is my fresh start, I'm not like that anymore" she said looking at Jughead while she placed her bag beside her. I smiled again knowing I was proving to both of my friends that what I thought about this girl was right. That she was a good person, I could feel it.

"Let's hope" Jughead said as he put on a fake smile to satisfy me but I couldn't care at this point all I wanted was to get to know her. Just as I opened my mouth to speak Reggie started jogging up from the football field  'great' he mentally rolled his eyes as Reggie stopped at the table.

"Hey V. We still on for pops tonight?" Reggie asked completely ignoring everyone else but Veronica. Reggie and I hadn't been friends ever since he kissed Valerie while me and her were still together. Even though Valerie kissed him back he still blamed Reggie for everything that happened so seeing him here trying to get with Veronica made my blood boil.

"Yeah of course" Veronica smiled at him causing him to nod and go back to the team who were going to the locker rooms to shower.

Jughead couldn't hold back a smile as he knew this would be tearing me up so i kicked Jugheads foot under the table causing Jughead to laugh. I will become friends with Veronica even if I wanted more, friends would work for now.

Next chapter things start getting exciting   :)
