The moonlight shone bright through the grey clouds and reflected off the waves. The water gently lapped against the rocks and washed sea shells on the shore every now and then. The fire was crackling and the laughter resonated through the beach.

It was Y/N's 21st birthday. She was finally 21 and she wanted to celebrate this day with her loved ones. The girl had a hectic schedule and almost never had time to spend with her friends and family.

She was never really a people's person and finding her out of her room was a once in a blue moon occurrence. One would always find her with her earphones plugged in and her nose buried in a thick book. She was extremely introverted and barely trusted anyone.

But one day a certain someone came along, giggling like she had found the funniest meme on this planet; all her attention on her phone. She didn't even notice it when she sat next to the quiet Y/N on a blue park bench and proceeded to cackle and snort at her phone when her little bubble of humour was bursted by the black-haired girl, "Excuse me? If you don't mind can you please shut up, I'm trying to work over here," she said pointing towards the book in her hands.

The brown-haired girl quickly apologized and returned back to her phone. Eventually she got bored of staring at the screen and she sneaked a glance towards the silent black-haired girl.

She was engrossed in scribbling something in her book, the one she had propped up on her lap. She would scrunch up her nose whenever she made a mistake and would aggressively scratch at the paper; she would bite her nails and eye the swing every now and then; she would slightly jump when a good idea hit her and her eyes would sparkle before she jotted it down on ths sheet.

While observing all these movements, the only thing the brown-haired girl could think about was how cute she looked. "Wait what?" she blurted out which caught the attention of the one sitting next to her. "Were you talking to me she questioned?" to which she quickly shook her head and turned her gaze away from the chocolate brown orbs. "Stupid Wheein", she mentally cursed herself for calling a complete stranger cute.

As the sun went down, the black haired girl stood up and shoved her book in her small brown backpack and zipped it up before slinging it over her shoulder and started walking towards the park exit.

That's when Wheein noticed that the girl's pen was still lying on the bench. She grabbed it and dashed towards the exit to return it. Wheein caught up to the girl who was walking in the streets and tapped her on her shoulder.

The girl turned around and fixed her chocolate brown orbs on the black ones. She raised an eyebrow questioning the brown-haired girl. Wheein held up the pen and said, "You left your pen on the bench." "Oh thank you so much," the girl smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear while accepting the pen as their fingers slightly brushed against one another.

The brown-haired girl introduced herself, "I'm Jung Wheein by the way," to which the brown-eyed girl responded, "I'm Y/L/N Y/N. Nice to meet you." They smiled at each other as the glowing sun reflected in their eyes. They bade goodbyes and went their separate ways.

Since then, it became an everyday thing for the two girls to 'co-incidentally' meet at the same park bench when they both secretly knew they were just here because they enjoyed each other's company.

They were just high school students back then but neither of them could deny the sparks they felt between them. The two girls grew closer than ever and both were itching to confess but were too afraid to make a move only to find out the other was straight and ruin their friendship.

One day, the two girls decided to go on a hike up the hill. The introverted Y/N had started opening up more and Wheein couldn't be happier. They reached the hill top as the sun was setting and hurried to set up the blankets and tent so they don't miss the night sky.

The two girls sat on the fluffy blanket and stared at the bright stars with their curious. "It's beautiful isn't it?" questioned Y/N as she turned towards Wheein only to be met with a pair of black eyes looking back into her own. The colour of her eyes looked like the velvety black sky and white dots splayed all over it represented the bright stars.

Wheein shifted her gaze from Y/N's eyes to her pink and plump lips. Before Y/N could register anything, Wheein had already placed her lips on Y/N's. Her eyes widened in shock and Wheein was ready to pull away regretting her actions but Y/n was quick to pull her back in and kissed back.

They felt each other smile through the kiss before they pulled away staring into each other's eyes lovingly. Wheein grabbed onto Y/N's arm and rested her head on Y/N's shoulder as she gazed back at the sky.

No words were needed. Y/N now knew Wheein's feelings towards her and there was nothing holding her back from returning them. The girls made their way back into the tent and spent the night in each other's embrace.

It has been about 4 years and the girls are still so in love with each other. Wheein was a year older than Y/N but was still tinier than her by 7 cm. They were like two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly.

Y/N's POV

It was night time and all of my friends and family sat on the wooden logs around the bonfire roasting marshmallows and warming themselves up. Everyone was busy in their own world when my friend Jackson suggested, "Why don't we all take turns singing some karaoke songs?" Some of them denied the idea but Jackson being his usual persuasive self finally got all of them to agree.

One after the other, everyone took turns singing when Wheein got up from beside me. Everyone clapped for her urging her to begin. I pulled out my phone and turned on the camera ready to film my girlfriend.

Wheein cleared her throat before starting, "I like my girls just like I like my honey, sweet." She stared at her girlfriend and everyone was taken aback by her sweet voice.

I smiled at her and admired her honey-like voice. The whole song, she never broke eye contact with me. Her voice had everyone swaying their bodies to the acoustic guitar.

Her yellow sundress swayed in the breeze as she clung onto the pink hoodie that I gave her for warmth. Her brown-hair flew in the direction of the wind and her face came in clear view.

She sang and poured out all her emotions in the song. I was dazed by her and wondered how lucky I got to get a girlfriend like her. She finished off the song and lightly whispered, "I love you Y/N," before making her way back to me.

She plopped herself down next to me and I fed her the roasted marshmallow. She filled her mouth with some and tried to perfectly say 'Chubby Bunny' to which I giggled. She was adorable and goofy and that's what I loved about her.

She wrapped her arms around my torso and snuggled her face into the crook of my neck. I wrapped my right hand around her waist and pulled her closer while my left rubbed her back to warm her up.

I was busy giggling at the other making jokes and singing that I didn't notice Wheein had dozed off in my arms. I looked at her face and saw how peaceful she looked. I smiled at her and kissed the crown of her head.

I picked her up and bade a small goodnight to everyone before carrying her to the back to the resort. I opened our hotel room door and walked in. I shut the door with my foot before making my way to the bed.

I gently placed her on the white sheets and pulled off her footwear. I got her out of the hoodie and sundress and helped her sleepy self into a pair of warm pajamas. I giggled when she sleepily mumbled, "No! Not my strawberry milk." I tucked her into the duvet covers and switched off the lights. I got into the sheets and wrapped my arms around her waist. I lightly pecked her lips before whispering, "I love you Wheein," and drifted off to sleep.
