She blended into the background,
Faded into the dark,
Her heart singing softly, carrying the song of a broken lark,
She disappeared into the crowd,
Vanishing into the faces
Her heart aching quietly, her world falling apart,
She vanished from the world,
Consumed by her sorrow,
Her heart calling out, for one more hope for tomorrow,
She crumbled into the wind,
Drifting away like dust
Her heart no longer beating, its beat invisible to us.
