Joining Dance Moms (Your POV)

Chapter 9

After you guys finished dancing at awards, the actual awards started.

"Ok first we're going to start off in the duo/trio category." The announcer said.

They went through 10,9,8,7,6, and no Laugh Out Loud.

"In fifth place we have...Mikayla and Stefani with Don't Cry."

Then 4th.

"In fourth place we have...Maddie, Nia, and Kendall , with Laugh Out Loud."

Maddie got up, and accepted the award.

Abby looked unimpressed.

After they announced 3,2,1st, they moved on.

"Now we have the junior solo category."

Your hands grabbed Paige's (on your left) and Maddie's (on your left).

They announced 10,9,8,7,6,5,4, and still no you.

"In third place, we have...Hanna with Never Let Go."

Then 2nd.

"In second place, we have...Charlotte, with Seasons."

Then 1st.

"And our overall junior soloist of the day is..."

Your hands tightened.

"(Y/N) with Happy!"

You smiled, and got up to accept your award.

Maddie and Paige gave you a quick hug, as they moved onto the groups.

"And now for the teen groups."

They announced 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3.
2nd.

"In second place, we have...HDC with Uptown."

1st. If they didn't win, it's your fault.

"And our overall group of the day is...The Abby Lee Dance company with Black Eyes!"

You all got up to accept your award.

You all hugged each other, and walked off to the dressing room, where the moms were waiting.

It all ran in cheering, and all the moms did too.

Abby walked up to you.

"(Y/N), I knew I was doing the thing right, when I picked you to be on this team." Abby told you, and hugged you.

You could just feel the moms rolling their eyes.

You packed up your stuff, and walked out of the dressing room.

"Hey." Josh said, coming up to you.

"Oh hey!" You smiled.

"So we're all going swimming today, since we leave tomorrow." He said.

"I'll go." You said.

"Great." He said grabbing your hand.

You blushed, as you got on the bus.

You hadn't realized you were still holding hands, until Paige pointed it out.
"Aww! (Your/Ship/Name) in the house y'all!"

You and Josh looked down, and started blushing.

You sat down next to Chloe, and decided to get to know her better.

"I think it's time we get to know each other better.." You told her.

She smiled. "I agree."

You got changed into Paige's turquoise bikini (you didn't think to being yours) and headed down to the pool, where everyone else was.

Since it was June, (School gets out on Friday!!) it was an outdoor pool.

"Hey!" You smiled, when reached the pool.

"Wow! Who knew you looked hot in a bikini." Josh whistled.

"Josh, I'm a lady, not a bitch." You told him.

Everyone laughed, even though you didn't say anything funny. You were stating facts.

"Oh and who knew you of anyone, had six pack!" You laughed at Josh.

"Ok, (Y/N), you had it coming." He sighed.

"Oh you better not-"
It was too late. Josh had thrown you into the pool.

"What the hell?" You laughed.

"It's ok, (Y/N), I got this one." Paige said going up to Josh.

"This is for taking one of my bras, freezing it, and throwing it off the balcony with all your dumbass friends!"

Paige yelled. pushing Josh into the pool.

Then everyone else jumped into the pool.

You and Josh really seemed to be getting along.

You two got in a splashing fight,which ended with you tow just staring at each other.

Then Josh starting leaning in.

Was he leaning in to kiss you?

You decided just to lean in too, just to make sure.

Your lips met. It was filled with chlorine, and it was awkward, but it was a kiss.

You were in seventh grade (almost eighth!) and you had your first kiss.

Then Josh got out of the pool.

"I gottta go." He mumbled.

"What'd i do?" You asked yourself.
