Mingrui walked outside to see you sitting on the curb, in front of your old house
"FangFang...are you okay?"
he heard you sigh and that got him a little worried. he walked up to you
"Lin Li Fang?"
"sit..."
he was a little confused but he did as told
he sat next to you and rested his elbows on his knees
"what's up?"
you stayed silent so you two were just sitting in awkward silence.
"your shoe's untied..."
"hm?"
he snickered and reached down to tie it. You caught him by surprise when you held onto his sleeve
"wha-"
you pulled him up and softly pressed your lips against his. you held onto his sleeve as you kissed
you backed away and let go of his sleeve.
"I-I don't want to return you..."
he smiled
"you know you get fined for late books."
"I guess I'll get fined a lot because so don't plan on returning any time soon..."
he chuckles and held your hand
"I lo-"
all of a sudden, a little piece of snow falls on your nose. Mingrui smiles and wiped it off. you looked around and saw snow slowly falling down on the streets
"It barely ever snows here..."
you giggle and put your other hand out to feel the snow
Mingrui loves seeing you worriless and happy
"I love you FangFang..."
"hUh?"
He chuckled again
"I love you..."
now that caught you by surprise
"i-i love you too..."
his eyes lit and he had the happiest smile on his face
"Come on!"
you pulled in by the hand and stood in the middle of the street. you help your arms up and stuck your tongue out
"You big baby."
"What'd you say? huh?"
"Wait, wait, wait-"
you jump on his back and wrap your arms around his neck in a chokehold
"Lin Li Faaang!"
you, on the other hand, were smiling
"Can you kids keep it down!!"
he turned to the direction of the voice and you two saw the old lady living in your old house poking her head out of the window
"Sorry, ma'am!"
she shuts her window and you get off his back
"yeah, keep it down."
"You're the one yelling."
you two laugh and he pulls you closer by the waist
he was about to give you a kiss but then his sister opened the door
"GEGE! It's FangFang!"
