"Alright, let's get this motherfucking show on the road!"
I watched Peter as he jumped behind the wheel of the spaceship. Rocket, seated right beside him, was too busy assembling a three-piece stun gun to pay him any mind.
"Tell me again why we're going to this place?" Rocket piped up while he twisted two ends of the scrap metal together to form a longer stick.
"The informant told us that there had been suspicious activity on Vanaheim nearly four months ago. I honestly doubt he's hiding there, but I think it's worth checking out just in case," Thor explained.
"Who exactly is your informant? How sure of this information are you exactly?" Peter quipped.
"None of your business," Thor quickly replied, "I know my brother, and I know he's out there somewhere. Vanaheim is a logical place to start the search."
"Why exactly are we even doing this again?" Rocket muttered under his breath, "I hope for your sake, you brought good payment."
"I am Groot-"
I gently patted Thor's arm to calm him down, squeezing the soft flesh between my fingertips, "Vanaheim sounds like a great place to start."
He smiled at me, took my hand in his, and offered it a small squeeze.
"So what exactly can we expect to find on Vanaheim? Jewels? Money? Hot babes? Preferably all three," Peter said, craning his neck so he could make eye-contact with us.
"Vanaheim is home of the fertility, wisdom, and future-telling Gods," Thor replied, "it's a beautiful place, very green. At least it was the last time I saw it. It's been a few hundred years."
Drax, who went completely unnoticed by me until now, stood silently in the corner of the air craft twirling a knife between his fingers.
"Can you chill?" I asked, rolling my eyes, "there'll be no fighting on this trip unless absolutely necessary, got it?"
"How long have you been standing there?" Thor grimaces.
From behind me, Peter lets out a long sigh, "not this again..."
This was definitely going to be an interesting trip.
